Actually, the term psilocybin mushroom refers to any of the several species of fungus that contains the hallucinogenic compound psilocybin.Psilocbin wrote:It's a mushroom fucktard, and I've explained more than one why I spelled it like this.Colaalone wrote:You're the one named after a drug, stupid.Psilocbin wrote:Wow, this thread is stupid.

Where do you live? On a Hippie farm? I don't know any adults that smoke weed (including myself). That's probably because I don't hang out with druggies!
(Maybe you should find a new group of adults to hang out with)
Please....why another thread glorifying drug use?

Just because somebody lights up at a party doesn't mean that they are druggies. That's like calling somebody who drinks at a party an alcoholic. Seriously. O, and I know very few people who are completely against pot. Hell, even my parents smoke.

A druggie is a druggie.
An alcoholic is a person addicted to alcohol.
Druggie does not imply addict... it implies drug use that is on a regular basis.
A drug addict is a person addicted to drugs.
Druggie is a loose term for a user of drugs.

Not according to Urban Dictionairy:
That looks like the definition of addict to me.Druggie, Urban Dictionairy wrote:A person who uses illegal drugs daily, they can range from marijuana users to heroin users. Most "druggies" have two states of being: On drugs or Withdrawing from drugs. They are also usually "out of touch" with everybody or they do not enjoy being with non-drug users.

It looks like what I just posted in different words. Nowhere in your Urban Dictionary definition does it say addicted or any form of the word.

Right, no successful adults use any drugs (*cough* John Lennon). Of course. Rush just suffered from heat exhaustionjay_a2j wrote:Where do you live? On a Hippie farm? I don't know any adults that smoke weed (including myself). That's probably because I don't hang out with druggies!
Let's see. I know three people who use marijuana. One's a stockbroker who is financially secure with a great family, one's an operations manager at a local radio station, and one's a retired sailor. Yeah. Total hippies, right down to their $100 shoes.(Maybe you should find a new group of adults to hang out with)
You're right, we should be ashamed of ourselves, discussing laws. That's not for us, that's for the fancy people in DC.Please....why another thread glorifying drug use?

Are you implying that drug use makes people successful? ROFL! Hardly...if anything it destroys their careers. (cough* Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Curt Cobain, Elvis Presley ... etc.)
Rush got addicted to prescription pain killers. Nice try.

No, I'm saying that being successful and being a pot smoker are not two mutually exclusive items.jay_a2j wrote:Are you implying that drug use makes people successful? ROFL! Hardly...if anything it destroys their careers. (cough* Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Curt Cobain, Elvis Presley ... etc.)
What drugs ended those celebrities careers or lives? Heroin, Cocaine, Pills.
Marijuana has the same intoxicating effect as alcohol. So, the question remains, why is alcohol legal and marijuana illegal?

1 Everyone you just listed did heroine or cocaine. Not a natural drug.jay_a2j wrote:vtmarik wrote: Right, no successful adults use any drugs (*cough* John Lennon). Of course. Rush just suffered from heat exhaustion

2 Noone ever said Drug use made you succesful, people against legalisation have said that they MAKE you unsuccesful. Fact is Success has nothing to do with this discussion.
People who dont do drugs, why wont you allow people that do to do so?
Why must we be stereotyped against and threatened with jail time, and the loss of all of our possesions? just because we refuse to use prescription drugs at 10 times the cost.
How many deaths have been linked to marijuana? 0
How many deaths have been linked to alchahol? infinity rising
The only effect Marijuana has on your health is smoke inhalation.
A high, is different then being drunk.
Why is marijuana evil? yet your precious FDA advertises all kinds of commercial drugs? They encourage Anti-Depressents, a market Marijuana could replace.
Uses for Marijuana (a strong plant with no natural enemies, can grow practicly anywhere)
1 Medicine (anerexia, depression, pain, nasseau, high blood pressure,stress,etc..) how many markets would that eliminate?
2 Textiles,Rope,Paper,Oil,Gasoline,Plastic,Clothes, and so much more i cant remember! (It can be used for many of these purposes often using less chemicals in the process, A Ship from the 1700's would often have been made 50% from Hemp, The declaration of Independance and the American Constitution is written on Hemp.)-Again how many markets would this universal plant be used for?
3 spiritual effect (how many violent crimes are caused by marijuana? now alchahol? now capitalism?)
4 Enviromental (its better for the enviroment!)
Why is Marijuana illegal? The "mexican killer weed" was predicted to become a trillion dollar industry, offering billions of jobs. It would have eliminated monopolies such as the FDA and Big oil among others. The Mexican killer weed was killed with Propaganda by Capitalism.
Later it was made illegal in other countries to prevent Pacifism. (if a country uses Marijuana they will be able to compete on a global level, Any country that does gets conveniently removed)
This is alot like the Gay issue, Those against it arent effected at all.
they just wish to control how everyone lives their lives.
The illegalisation of drugs have made all drugs more dangerous. XTC in its original variety had no side effects. Special K (a cheap form of it) is deadly. Also Mushrooms are my absolute favorite(to the one that asked)
and have been prooven to be harmless aswell.(take them in a good mood only)
Marijuana is not a drug it is a herb.
100% of the world uses drugs
70% of people are for the legalisation of marijuana(in the USA) Again its proof that Capitalism and democrasy doesnt work.
Jay you are deluded. Also, bears defecate in forests.jay_a2j wrote:vtmarik wrote: Right, no successful adults use any drugs (*cough* John Lennon). Of course. Rush just suffered from heat exhaustion

Rush Limbaugh was a drug addict. Prescription painkillers are strong drugs, jay. So is nictoine.

I think it's fairly obvious that a stoner's high is preferable to a drunk's rage. It's amazing how rarely you hear about someone getting high and beating their wife/child/doing major harm to themselves. The prime distinction between alcohol and weed as far as legalization is concerned is that Booze was invented by white christian guys (monks) in Europe, and weed wasn't. It was used by a lot of different people, most of whom ended up conquered by white christian guys from Europe. Jesus turned water to wine, not hay to hash. (I came up with that myself!) So it's a strange variety of social pressure that keeps weed illegal. Honestly stoners, it'd be less fun if it was legal don't you think? And all those people talking about how the government can tax pot? That just gives more money to the government! Why would you want that?! You big government liberals make me sick. Nanny state wimps.

think of all the fields that grow drugs, now think how many starving people would have food if those fields were instead used to grow food.
now think how much more land would be wasted if cannabis were legalised

Think of the massive food surplus we have in the world that's just not in the right places, and then realise that that argument is bullshit.mr. incrediball wrote:think of all the fields that grow drugs, now think how many starving people would have food if those fields were instead used to grow food.

mr incredibal....more land is likely wasted due to neoliberal globalization policy telling individuals to grow a certain type of cash crop rather than some kind of sustaining food, than is likely wasted due to the growing of any kind of specific drug. And certainly the US and other areas are capable of growing enormous amounts of food, and farmers are often subsidized to limit the production to certain numbers. So i wonder if food is especially relavant to the issue, considering there are quite possibly more relavant factors in the hunger debate.
