f*ck you suarez you racist piece of shit , a disgrace to football with his actions and dalglish should be given the boot for defending a racist, any respect his has is completly gone.
Man United 2-1 Liverpoo
Rooney was once again epic for united with 2 goals in 3 minutes at the beginning of the second half. We outplayed them in both halves and full deserved the win which moves us top of the table until shitty play tomorrow against villa.

Suarez and Evra are both extremely childish today. Seem to remember Ferguson defending a racist once though (Schmeichel), so careful what you say, Sniper! Also, Giggs is moer of a disgrace than Suarez...

Why can't they all just grow up and stop acting like children?
Horrific game for us today. Boring and shit for the first 60-70 minutes, but we got the 3 points. Chelsea lost so we leapfrog into 4th. Going to be an epic battle for 4th spot between Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle and Liverpool.

Let us be the adults then, let's not talk about that thing.
Barca lost today, I definetely enjoyed the fact that without Xavi and Iniesta, Messi is not that great. I don't like Messi, I find him less likable (both inside and outside the field than Maradona.

All I'm saying is Messi is not a god. Xavi and Iniesta are big factors in his game. Messi might be the best, but Xavi is not too far from him. Spain is world cup champ with Xavi and Iniesta (and of course all this great generation of spanish players) and Argentina is far from Spain's level.

Re: Football (real)
Messi is almost untouchable in my opinion. To say he doesn't play well just because Xavi and Iniesta weren't there is nothing but ignorant, and I'll tell you how I justify that statement.
Robin van Persie is one of the best strikers in England, and scored a brace last week with the same team he scored none for yesterday. He didn't have half a team behind him to blame his lack of goals or poorer performance yesterday, it's called "having an off day".
All footballers experience them. Days where they just aren't quite playing to the best of their ability. Then they have days where there quality shines through, and none more so than Messi. At the end of the day, football is a team sport, and when you have players like Xavi and Iniesta missing, your team is always going to struggle to live up to expectations.

Yes, it is a dark day for Scottish football, as it's greatest team ever (fact, not my opinion, I don't support a Scottish team) is in serious trouble. This has been coming for a while to be honest, and it's their own fault.pmchugh wrote:one word: ADMINISTRATION.
Does anyone think this is the end of Rangers? I can't imagine a league without Rangers. Finding an investor is virtually impossible, because even if someone had the money to buy the club, you have to slap another 50 million on top of the price to clear the tax debts.
I think the Doomsday Clock just shifted to 23:56.

Rangers are too big a club to fold but i foresee the next 5 years being Celtic dominated. Rangers will get 10 pts deduction for going into administration with gives Celtic the title.JoshyBoy wrote: Yes, it is a dark day for Scottish football, as it's greatest team ever (fact, not my opinion, I don't support a Scottish team) is in serious trouble. Rangers were bought for a pound or so sky news says so maybe they will be sold for the same amount and someone might save the club albeit unlikely.
Celtic fans need to take this with a double edged sword , on one side ur worst enemy is failing but on another the scottish league will get even more boring without 2 top clubs

Re: Football (real)
I would like to ask on what criteria are they the greatest Scottish club? I think as the only Scottish club to have reached a European Cup final (twice) and the only team to win a European Cup then we have a fair stake in it. The chances are this will not be repeated and with the state of rfc currently, it is likely that we will overtake their league titles with a few decades.JoshyBoy wrote:Yes, it is a dark day for Scottish football, as it's greatest team ever (fact, not my opinion, I don't support a Scottish team) is in serious trouble. I don't think they will go away forever, even after liquidation they would sprout up again in all probability although that would be the end of rangers 1873 and their history, probably their stadium too.
If I had to guess I would say that they will recover before liquidation though. Whatever way this swings I see the next 4+ years of titles coming our way easily enough. The league would be less interesting without them but most of us are just enjoying taking the piss out of them for the time being.

Also I would like to say the SPL is defo not boring, at least for OF fans. The football might be boring and quite shite tbh but its entertainment value is vastly understated. There is always some raging controversy going on, rangers hitting admin being the latest in a long line.Sniper08 wrote:Celtic fans need to take this with a double edged sword , on one side ur worst enemy is failing but on another the scottish league will get even more boring without 2 top clubs

Re: Football (real)
Rangers have won the League 54 times (Celtic, 42?), more top-flight titles than any other club in the world. They have won the Scottish League Cup 27 times (Celtic, 14?) more than any other Scottish club, and the Scottish Cup 33 times (Celtic, 35?). There's your answer right there buddy.pmchugh wrote:I would like to ask on what criteria are they the greatest Scottish club?
Also, Rangers have reached the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup three times, and were I think the first Scottish club to reach the final of a UEFA club competition. They were also runners-up in the 2008 UEFA Cup Final if my memory serves me correctly.
As I've said already, I don't support a Scottish team, I'm just telling you the facts. Those facts include the fact they have more league titles and cup titles than Celtic, and you are blinded by a pure hatred of them. I hate the Old Firm, and the blind hatred that surrounds the clubs. It's disgusting. A disgrace to football.

League Titles:
Although Rangers have a significant advantage in this region it is very disputable whether or not they cheated to gain this and it is a direct result of Murray's reign (including the 9 in a row and 6 other titles) that they are in the current financial crises.
Cups:
They have won more league cups, we have won more scottish cups.
Europe:
European Cup semi-finals:
Celtic 4
Rangers 1
European Cup Finals:
Celtic 2
Rangers 0
European Cup Victories:
Celtic 1
Rangers 0
Other European Finals:
Celtic 1
Rangers 4
Other European Victories:
Celtic 0
Rangers 1
Either way it is very debatable. They have us beat on league titles (controversially) and basically the CWC final a few times (although we were in the european cup on two of these occasions, reaching the final in 67 and the semis in 72).
p.s. I don't hate rangers, if I am blinded it is in love of Celtic. Don't judge me based on a combination of propaganda and the views of some fans. My proudest possession is a Celtic newspaper clipping book going back 50 years, it has a personalised message on the inside left by my mate which reads, "No matter what is going on our lives, our football club is always there for us". He is a Rangers fan. (i know ignore the irony)

Well, AC Milan game was men against boys. An absolute disgrace, might as well forfeit the second leg as there is no way we can beat them 4-0 ath the Emirates.. I hate my team, I really do. What the hell is Wenger's problem? He should leave after this season, and Arsenal should bring in a manager who can sign some decent players. Podolski would be a start for sure. Unbelievable.

the best you guys can hope for is a strong showing at home and maybe get it back to 4-2 or 4-3 but it looks bleek since van peirse is the main goal scorer and you cant always rely on him every match.JoshyBoy wrote:Well, AC Milan game was men against boys. Meanwhile United have Won 2-0 against ajax away from home so we are near guanranteed to progress although velencia went off injured and is expected to be out for up to a month.

Re: Football (real)
I can see a 2-0 maybe a 3-0 at the Emirates, but we need a minimum of a 4-0 to go to extra time and penalties, and I don';t think we can do that without letting them in at the other end.Sniper08 wrote: the best you guys can hope for is a strong showing at home and maybe get it back to 4-2 or 4-3 but it looks bleek since van persie is the main goal scorer and you cant always rely on him every match.
If we were to go through to the next round it would probably be the greatest turnaround/comeback we've seen this century. Odds of that happening are a million to one.
Guess we'd better just focus on winning the FA Cup.
