question:
do you condone it if someone runs out of time so he is not forced to take a spoil?

It's not in the rules that you can't do that. The point is to eliminate your opponent quickly with a nuke.

I believe it is against ConquerClub rules to intentionally miss turns but I don't feel like looking up so I'm not one hundred percent sure. So if someone intentionally missed a turn it is a violation of CC rules not my tourney rules.

I have just updated the standings and you can view them in the third post of this thread.

I will be editing round 2,3, and 4 rules to include a penalty point assessment for not paying attention to the rules and eliminating your opponent by attacking. I'm thinking this will be a -10 or -20 point penalty. I'm looking for input from you guys on what would be an ideal penalty number. I don't want this tournament to get ruined because people do not pay attention and attack their opponents giving away points.

I reckon -20 would be a deterrent :)

It is tough to get the nukes on the right spots. With that said a -20 would surely fix things.

I just realized in round robin you can't play yourself (duh!). So round 4 will be only four games. Standings are constantly updated when I have time. Just got done updating them again. A little over half of the games for round 1 are done. If we finish early I'll send out round 2 games when round 1 is done. I will send a PM reminding everyone to check the rules before sending out game invites each round to jog peoples memory. If you don't want a PM reminder each round start PM me and let me know or post here.

well that's great. The one player that I beat quickly and now it doesn't count.

I can't let a player continue on in my tournament that won't follow the rules. This is obviously a unique idea and I'm working through kinks in the system. He gave away 18 and 17 points by eliminating opponents in rounds 3 and 4.

I should have made it more point restrictive since low points players tend to care less about following specific tournament directions, lesson learned.

You need to be better than the 18 remaining players. Forget what you did/didn't do against marshallbobby and there are still 3 more rounds to go.

I hate to have to do it but I think it will be the best in maintaining the integrity of the tournament.

And while you earned those 14 points..I guarantee the about 7 or 8 more games where he would have gotten a good drop (keep in mind doodle earth) and he attacked opponents eliminating them and giving away points. I guarantee would be at least 14 or more points for all of those people. So I think you have gained more than you have lost. You earned 14 points from him...do you really want to see him keep giving away 17 and 18 points here and there to 8 other players in this tournament? I think that results in you losing more then just excluding this one game.

it sucks that one idiot had to ruin it for everyone. Just sucks when you follow the rules someone has to screw it up.

I like the idea of the tournament. Keep up the good work.

Made some additions to the rules for rounds 3 and 4. Please if you have not already familiarize yourself with ALL of the information in my first post. This includes all the ways to win, the formula for points scoring, as well as ways to lose points.
