Because, if you did, you may have just made my visit with you a pleasant one, as oppose to one that ends with your feet burning.

One of my reasons is because you doubted me. I have to make sure that there is no doubt. I may still show up at your door, but perhaps with a hat as opposed to a pair of iron shoes.
