the auto attack extravaganza!

the yearly tournament to end all tournaments!

this and much more!

tournament, open to all active players, held once a year and run by poor lack with an army of willing volunteers/masochists

small prize of $50 or so to the overall winner. all games 6 player and esc

entrance fee of $1 half of all profits going to charity to be nominated in the forums at the appropriate time

this is golden!

incidentally, i know its a lot of work but its a big boost of cash for cc too and its once a year. i think half profits to charity is a nice aside and it will encourage more players to enter as well as doing some good by playing risk

I have an official tournament planned called the Conquer Cup, but it will be months before it opens. The charity aspect is an interesting idea that I'll consider.

* Suggestion Idea: see above

* Specifics: to be held once a year, esc format to speed things along, 6p games. entrance fee is $1 with a small prize (not to mention a years worth of glory and the accolade of your risk peers!) for the ultimate winner. half profits go to lack and cc, and a little something for the mods and mutli hunters who help run the place. other half goes to charity (i suggest for the victims of non-cyber war is most appropriate)

* Why it is needed: it would be a great event and it would grow in stature and expectation every year. although it will be a lot of work to organise, there is a financial boost for cc and those undertaking the organising. im sure lots of people would be willing to give a little help too.

* Priority** 2. before the year is out would be good : )

1 = Bottom of 'To Do' list
5 = Urgent, implement with next update

ah ok lack. is the entrance fee something you had planned for it too? i cant imagine its hugely profitable running this place but i think if one was going to be charged then youd find a lot more people entering if there was another side to it. if it wasnt planned then its a great way to raise money for something worthwhile just playing risk and top up the limited amount that i presume you make off us

this is a good idea, if it was to charit maybe you could mae it a minimum of 1 dollar, with an option of paying more as id happil pay a little more if some was for charity, and perhaps the winner gets a year premium and 30 dollars.

I really like the idea too. But i dont like escalating cards. And it would be nice if it had a singles doubles and triples game. $1 each tourny.

An official tournament should include all types of maps, cards, fortifications, maybe each player should be able to select his home settings.
