how can it be called super elite if so many of the super elite players of this site aren't a part of it? Furthermore who created this super elite group because I woud love to know who self declared themselves super elite to the point that members have to "try out" to their standards to become super elite.JOHNNYROCKET24 wrote:sorry, im not super eliteMolacole wrote:so how many people from the super elite want to join my triples games?

This simply is not true JR, SE Group is collection of what we think are the greatest players or most of the greatest players on this site ever assembled, not only super players but super class. It is not all about rank, although that helps, but, it is also about skill, strategy, modeling behavior, wit, being able to have vision, see several moves ahead, knowing what the enemy is thinking and capitalizing on it to cripple them and counter, etc.
It is a Group that monitors and votes on CC players to see if they are deemed worthy to get in. Not all in SE get along or agree always, but we do all respect each others game.
Reasons why you or others may not be in, and I use the word may is because of perhaps a few things, some are not interested and may be good enough, others have too much conflict with some of the members in the panel, and multi SE members has concerns about you or others, and another may be because they do not see enough skill or strategy in an individuals game play, or rank too low, and another reason may be they just are not familiar with some of players and do not have much experience playing them, et cetera, bla bla. I will not get into all the complex factors, but there is certain criteria every CC player must meet, and it is far beyond rank, although there is parameters surrounding this.
There are strict policies and guidelines in the SE group. All members have equal say and judge players very wisely, we do not always agree, and have to agree to disagree at times, it is a majority rules generally unless the voting process is extremely close or members are divided. Again, I will not get into all the specific details about the formula to get in and all the criteria necessary, but it is not elite, and it is not colonels, it's Super Elite. The 1st two groups I mentioned are based on rank alone, we are not, there is much more complex variables that will not be expressed in public, but I did give you a minimal view of some of the expectations.
This is all I will mention about this and hope this clarifies some for those that were or are curious. respects, Blitzer

obviously I have all those characteristics or I would not be able to obtain my current rank
paraghraph 2
"deemed worthy". again, 3200+ points with 2,500+ games with multi CC records proves im worthy
paragraph 3
"others may not like you". well here we go. the area I explained as a popularity vote. The fact is, I see players with 1600 points playing in SE games. I dont know who all the players are in this group, but I do see enough that clairifies my beliefs. Its safe to say that I meet all the requirments except for a feedback left by a player that showed no class by racing to the feedback section and leaving me one because he lost. which by the way, proves that players already within the group create conflict.

nobody can deny that you are the most prolific gamesman in the CC community, but that is NOT what the the super elite is all about.JOHNNYROCKET24 wrote:im currently ranked 3rd and hold the most triples and singles victories..... but im not "super elite"
You have an impressive quantity of wins... which naturally come from being overly prolific.
Not to take anything away from you, but I did take a closer look and found that your winning % is below average when you have 4 or 5 opponents.
6 player std = 32 wins out of 204 games = 15.7%
5 player std = 8 wins out of 45 games = 17.8%
Interestingly, in the 14 games we've played in together, my results are unimpressive as well:
JohnnyRocket = 1 win = 7.1%
Robinette = 2 wins = 14.3%

What is average on CC? How did you find that figure because everyone knows your figures would be horribly inaccurate. Good luck to Anyone trying to get the average win/loss percentage of this site...Robinette wrote:nobody can deny that you are the most prolific gamesman in the CC community, but that is NOT what the the super elite is all about.JOHNNYROCKET24 wrote:im currently ranked 3rd and hold the most triples and singles victories..... but im not "super elite"

You're basically saying 15.7% and 17.8% for each category is below an average that you don't even know exists.
All you did was say that your own winning average is 14.3% while playing against johnnyrockets and his overall average is 15.7%.
Considering you're super elite your winning percentage must not be"below average" (ie 15.7%,17.8%) so IF your winning average is above 14.3% when you're not playing johnny then all you've really showed anyone is that johnny lowers your winning percentage. Well done johnny!

Oh this I've gotta hear. Robinete, what is your sample size for these "averages"? And did you look at all CC players? While I understand your need to find stats to show you're somehow superior, I seriously doubt what you're reporting is either accurate or representative.

wow, you guys really must like your precious points to put up with playing people you don't like just b/c they're predictable and you won't lose a lot of points.
i.e. only playing players who are predictable.Blitzaholic wrote: being able to have vision, see several moves ahead, knowing what the enemy is thinking

lol yeah, but isn't that more like your chance of winning percentage than overall average win loss percentage?Genghis Khan CA wrote:I think the average win % should be easy to calculate.
For a six player game, one out of six players wins every game, hence a win ratio of 16.67%.
For a five player game, one out of five players wins every game, hence a win ratio of 20%.
I guess they could do all their individual members then average all their percentages out that way and only accpet members who meet their average win loss ratio.
Then they would have to get rid of the members who don't hold the average win loss percentage and keep doing it until 1 person is left...

However, I understand now you are talking about the average win/loss for the super elite only...
lol I like your idea though - 1 person only would truly be super elite!
no need to get all up in a tizzy, wicky. it's pretty simple: you asserted that andrew said statement A. i argued that it was at least possible that andrew meant statement B. andred entered this thread and said he did, in fact, make statement B.wicked wrote:Neph, I have NEVER lost to you in an argument boy.I was playing it off b/c I didn't want to have a battle of wit against an unarmed man. you misconstrued andrew's words, misrepresented them in this thread, and lost an argument to me. thank you for playing, it appears you may be unarmed, as you can't even tell when you've been beaten

As others said, the average number of wins in a 6 player singles game is of course 1/6. I'm not sure why that is so hard to figure out, or why you would say she doesn't know the average even exists.Molacole wrote:What is average on CC? Anyway, Robinette has won 50/158 6 player singles games, which is 31.64%. Well above the average 16.66% and over double JR's winning rate of 15.7% (source: Robinette). JR has played 46 more games of that type than Robinette yet she has won 18 more games than him.
Oh and by the way: I have won 33/80 6 player standard games for a win rate of 41.25%. So I've won more games of that type than JR has despite the fact that he was played more than 2.5 times as many of them as I have. And I'm sure if you looked at some of the other SE players their stats would trump mine for this type.
