Title: "GLG#10b Point Whores R Us" Type: dubs 9 teams 2v2; 3 pools of 3, play each team in pool. winner and Best Wild Card advance to 1v1 playoffs then finals. See below Topic: Point whoring Farmers Unite Organizer: Gen.LeeGettinhed Comments: (details below Results/games)
If I am still alive after my 9th tournament, I'd like to host a "Point Whore" tournament and am looking for some constructive input. Rbelgrod(?) suggested teams (now #5 -- was 10b vs 10a 1v1).
Point Whores: people that would sell their soul (if they had one) for a few points, usually classified as Farmers. I get so much shit for managing the risk of losing points that I'd like to see how they all compare. Because i am too damn scared of losing too many points and rarely play teams, i won't be in it -- as usual.
It seems kind of odd having only 9 teams with 6 advancing. After the first playoff leg, the way I read it, you'll be left with 3 teams, meaning someone won't be playing that round? Can you clear this up?

Yes I can clarify the first round. You misunderstood: 1a)9 teams in 3 pools - winners advance =3 1b) the single BEST 1 other team based on overall record other than winners advances as well. 1 + 3 above =4 to 2nd round 1c) 5 of 9 teams WILL NOT advance to second round -- very small tournament, but multiple games each round. OK?
