Best CC players

There will never be a best player on cc...simply put there are too many different maps and settings. Sure some of them are more respected than others but that does not lower the skill level needed to excel at others. Anyway my 2 cents enjoy mentioning some of the great cc players but i think it becomes very hard to differentiate the top 10 or so

The closest to an official best player is the conqueror. And seeing how King_Herpes has reached the most points as conqueror I think most of us lean towards ignoring the overall scoreboard. Medals says something but far from everything. Number of games played also says something, maps played on as well. But still the title "best cc player" will always be very subjective.

if you are saying highest score equates to being the best player you are sadly mistaken...this being said by someone who has a top 10 all time score. Simply put it is very easy to manipulate your score to get to the top though specific games. King Herpes did it through city mogul and foeing anyone with clickable maps, i did it through oasis farming with lower ranked teammates so i could win more/lose less points. Medals say nothing either...sure they are nice and you have to work to get them but anyone can play 1000's of games and get a bunch of medals even if they win a low percentage of their games. Number of games/Maps played says nothing about the skill of a player...just because you have played lots of gamed does not mean you are strategically sound, and on the same line of thought and just because you have played lots of maps does not mean you are good at them.

If you read my post again I think you'll find that we hold the same opinion. Maybe I worded it poorly. I'll sum up what I meant to say: High score is not important just look at King Herpes, Medals says little but not much, games played also says something but not much and people will always debate who the best cc player is.

Seq Esc? Really. Got me many points I guess (haven't checked), but I don't like these anymore. High-rank seq esc is always the same... and playing those with other ranks felt too often like "oh look, I killed a high rank, don't care if I lose now". -_- (sometimes I wish there was an anonymous game option ^^)

I prefer team games now... and bow ties... bow ties are cool...

Apart from that... the best CC players are those who don't miss their turns and have fun while playing.
And personally I like anyone who loses some points to me.

I believe the way some believe--there is no way to tell who the best player is. You could break down categories to find the many good players in each category but there is still no way to really find out who the best player is.

It is like they say in the NFL any given Sunday--if the random numbers are on your side you can be the best.

With the database CC has I am still not sure why they do not expand the scoreboard to have many multiple categories.

All the players listed here are very good, but there is still no way to say who is the best over all player.

I'm gonna have to say looking at the couple top ranking players Master Fenrir I think is the best, he plays mainly team games, and not against noobs from what I see. He doesn't try freestyle games where you can easily win if the other team doesn't know what to do. Plus I've played with him before, and his strategy (and comedy) are absolutely astounding.

I only win because I have dice hax.
