Imperial Dragoons vs. The New Crusade (22-19) Final 1/27

Postby I_AM_BOGEY on Mon Sep 05, 2011 1:48 pm

The Imperial Dragoons are pleased to announce that The New Crusade have accepted our challenge for a battle.

Primary Contacts
ID: Primary I_AM_BOGEY, secondary 4 U 2 NV
TNC: Primary Black_Knight_6, secondary ckyrias

41 games total - 1 tiebreaker POW game (see Below, played first)
7 DUBS, 6 TRIPS AND 7 QUADS for each home team's set. Each clan will send out all home games on their set at one time.

batch 1 game: POW game between leaders September 12th
batch 2 games: From winning side of POW game September 28th (date dependent)
batch 3 games: From losing side of POW game October 12th (date dependent)

Rules
• No freestyle, no speed, no manual deployments and no beta maps.
• A minimum of 10 unique players must be used; the maximum game usage per player is 12 games.
• If a player is used in more than 12 games, the game(s) in question will be remade with a substitute and not forfeited.
• The 12 hour fog rule will be a courtesy with no enforceable penalties, applying only to those games where seeing the first turn matters. If this rule is broken, the changes made to the map should be posted in game chat.

POW game details:
The first game will be the pow (tiebreaker) game which will be a trips game played on map seige. The first leader to get eliminated from the losing team's side is captured and unable to participate in their visitor games. The winning team then makes a list of home games and picks one that the leader is held on. If the visitor team wins, they get their leader back and then they can play in their home games. If the visitor team loses, their leader remains captured and can not play in any more games. Settings for POW game will be Trips, no cards, chained, foggy.

Good luck to everyone that participates in this challenge. We are looking forward to a great challenge with this new twist.

Now that's pretty tricky... Who thought of that?

It will be interesting to see how this affects the rest of the war.

Well, this one should be a good one!

Not a large margin of victory for who ever wins.

This sounds like a fun one... thanks to BK for the idea, and a general welcome and good luck to all of TNC! Oh, and I think I can speak for all of ID when I say that we'll take very good care of whichever of your leaders we get to keep prisoner for the duration of this battle... ;)

Hi guys

Yes, it was my crazy idea. Let's see what happens! It should make for some interesting game chat, and discussion here in the thread too (e.g. "help! help! you gotta get me outta here, they are in violation of Geneva convention" etc etc)

We will be getting started soon. And Ishihara, you can be sure that if the POW falls into OUR hands they will be offered the best crusader treatment. So good that they might not want to return to their original clan ever...

A clarification.

The third sentence should read: The WINNING team then makes a list of home games and picks one that the opponent leader is held on. We play those games first (to try and get the leader back). Then the losing team submits their games.

Okay. If I understand this correctly, if the losing leader of the PoW game does not get "rescued" in the 2nd set then that person will only be allowed to play in one game the entire war...which means they cannot get a medal. Is this right? And are we sure about this?

Sounds interesting. Since this was Blackknight's idea I will issue privs under this theory. Cheers, and good luck to all.

It looks like the Crusaders managed to keep their castle against the Imperial Dragoons siege.

Nesterdude has been taken prisoner!

Game 9738172

He will be held for the duration of the first half of the war. We will inform you what map he is held on when we submit our home maps.

Do not worry, TNC will respect the Geneva Convention and treat nesterdude well... Updates here.

sounds good. whenever you're ready. i think a week should suffice. if you need more time, let us know, but the sooner the better.

and we're fine without nester. let him rot in prison
