I can confirm that you would not have been able to upgrade anything, as I am not a Link and do not have an item. I am a Cucco, a town aligned PGO variant where my power will only activate if I am targeted three times in the same night.

That sounds outrageous and I dont buy it, but its more important we hear from fireside now

Listen! I am navi town hider. I have chose not to hide each night as to me its the safest play, If I hid behind the player targeted we lose 2 townies and if I hid behind scum then I would die. So each night I chose to stay still.

Well, we have seen evidence that said role exists and I suppose this could explain how Victor could be sure of you innocence after tracking you depending on which night it was.

Okay, you explained your power in a way that actually is consistent with your earlier statements about it and causes those statements to make sense.
Right now I am leaning towards voting pancakemix today as I have had a sort of scummy vibe from him for a little while now, but nothing to really build a case with. On the other hand, djfireside has been so inactive it is hard to formulate anything on him.
Still rather confused about shield's night action.

Not that it matters much, but here's the only scenario I can think of: We lost our cop on N1, so the framer ability is useless. He could have been targeting mafia just to throw off the tracker.
