Script is broken, today only... with the Swedish Chef having invaded, key text on the pages has changed.

Yes, nice joke, but difficult that we don't have the card counter anymore today.

Quick, someone make up a April 1st version of the script.

Hurry up! I demand it! (And everyone always follows my demands...)

Yes.

First thing, get the Firefox browser installed:

Download it from here:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Then this thread will help you get the rest of it installed:

Good luck.

The script requires greasemonkey in order to work and greasemonkey was designed as an add-on to Firefox not IE. You will have a much easier time getting everything to work using Firefox. You can obtain it from the link in the post above yours.

It may be possible to install a greasemonkey equivalent on IE and get everything to work correctly, but if you do this post back here if you are successful. Google for "greasemonkey IE" and it may point you to the IE compatible version of greasemonkey. This is not the easiest path to choose.

Good luck.

No, you need to do that yourself. Either from the "refresh map" link or by pressing you browser's refresh button ("reload current page" in Firefox, or View --> Reload, or CTRL + R).

cards

Postby djak. on Mon Apr 16, 2007 7:47 am

Tr0y, now that the site includes card totals, please remove them from the script and move the armies next to countries which is what they're based on:

Code: Select all
Name    Armies     Countries +armies   Strength
djak.   18 (17%)   15 (31%)  +5        20

Please also edit the first post in this thread indicating that you need Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Thanks for a great script.

Just my $0.02, but I would prefer the script to be left alone for several reasons:

I like how everything is displayed in the statistics table area, having the cards held only available in the player roster area is not an improvement. You then have to look at two areas to get the information you can now get from looking in one area.

I like the + armies as it is now. Why make people divide by 3 if it's not necessary. Also why make people remember it's only divide by 3 if the number of armies is >= 12. Why put this burden on people?

Finally, the biggest reason: why update Tr0y's original baseline script at all when most people are now probably using stocksr's Conquer Club - Roberts Mods script based on Tr0y's original script and which offers more functionality.

If I release another version of the script, I'll be rewriting it from scratch, as I've learned a lot of javascript since, and I would like it to be much more modular.

However, I wont be doing another one until "Log 2.0" is out.

So it's best to use a fork/spin-off of my original script.

Because some of us stick to the classics...

That, and I've never heard of "stocksr's Conquer Club - Roberts Mods script based on Tr0y's original script and which offers more functionality". That's kind of a long name for a script, I might add.

lackattack's updated the 8801 sticky with it where it's called the "Greasemonkey Script by stocksr". In greasemonkey it's called "Conquer Club - Roberts Mods".

It is so choice. If you have Firefox, I highly recommend checking it out. First thing I did was edit it to disable the confirmations tho.

You don't need to edit the script - there is a options bar on the left hand side that turns stuff on and off for you...

which is where http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org/ redirects me to.

when i go to "Install Now" it says FireFox could not install the file

because: Download Error

any thoughts? =) thanks

EDIT: I was able to download an older version after messing around a bit, then i think i upgraded to the newest version? oh well :P
