The maps will be as per section , for example , europe for the european qualifers , north america for their section and so on
no spoils , chain and sunny for all , auto deploymentall home and away ( eg not group games ) will be a best of 3
round 12 rule will apply for all games , when you hit round 13 , it s a draw 1 point each in the group stage .some of the sections are straight forward , some are a little more complicated , so here they are
ASIA - ROUND ONE
The 16 lowest-ranked PMAs (based on the 2010 FIFA World Cupā¢ Preliminary Competition and
Final Competition results) will contest Round One.
The 16 teams will be paired into eight home-and-away series
The eight winners of each series advance to Round Two.
ROUND 2
The eight Round One series winners will then join the 22 next, highest-ranked PMAs (based on the
2010 FIFA World Cupā¢ Preliminary Competition and Final Competition results) in Round Two.
The 30 teams will be paired into 15 home-and-away series.
The 15 winners of each series advance to Round Three.
ROUND 3
In Round Three, the 15 Round Two series winners will then join the remaining five PMAs that
received a bye in Round Two.
The 20 teams will be drawn into five round-robin, home-and-away groups of four teams each.
The five group winners and five group runners-up advance to Round Four.
AND THERE'S MORE
ROUND 4
The five Round Three group winners and five group runners-up will contest Round Four.
The ten teams will be drawn into two round-robin, home-and-away groups of five teams each.
The third-placed teams of each group advance to Round Five.
The two group winners and two group runners-up qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cupā¢.
ROUND 5
The two third-placed teams from the two Round Four groups will contest Round Five.
The teams will play one home-and-away play-off series.
The Round Five winner advances to the intercontinental play-off.
NOW IF YOU THOUGHT THAT WAS COMPLICATED , HERE'S AFRICA
The 24 lowest-ranked PMAs, PMA Rank 29 through to PMA Rank 52 (based on the FIFA/Coca-Cola
World Ranking of July 2011), will contest Round One.
The 24 teams will be paired into 12 home-and-away series.
The 12 series winners advance to Round Two.
ROUND 2
The 12 Round One winners will then join the remaining 28 PMAs in Round Two.
The 40 teams will be drawn into ten round-robin, home-and-away groups of four teams each.
The ten group winners advance to Round Three.
ROUND 3
The ten group winners from Round Two will contest Round Three.
The ten teams will be paired into five home-and-away series.
The five teams that win their respective series qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cupā¢.
STRAIGHT FORWARD
EUROPE IS A BIT MORE SIMPLE
All 53 PMAs will contest Round One.
The round consists of eight round-robin, home-and-away groups of six teams as well as one roundrobin,
home-and-away group of five teams.
The eight best group runners-up advance to Round Two.
ROUND 2
The eight best group runners-up will contest Round Two.
The eight teams will be paired into four home-and-away series
The 4 winners qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cupā¢.
BACK TO THE WEIRD
OCEANIA
The four lowest ranked PMAs (based on the FIFA/Coca-Cola Ranking of July 2011 and for sporting
reasons) will contest Round One.
The four Round One teams will play in a central tournament based on a league system.
The winner of the tournament will advance to Round Two
ROUND 2
Round One will join the remaining seven PMAs that received a bye in Round One.
The eight Round Two teams will play in a central tournament based on a league system with a semifinal
and final.
The four highest-placed teams from Round Two will advance to Round Three.
ROUND 3
The four highest-placed teams from Round Two will contest Round Three.
The four Round Three teams will be drawn into a round-robin, home-and-away group.
The winner advances to the intercontinental play-off.
NORTH/CENTRAL AMERICA
The ten lowest-ranked PMAs (based on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking of March 2011) will
contest Round One.
The five series winners advance to Round Two.
ROUND 2
The five Round One winners then join the 19 next highest-ranked PMAs (based on the FIFA/Coca-
Cola World Ranking of March 2011) that received a bye from Round One.
The 24 teams will be drawn into six groups of four teams each.
All six group winners advance to Round Three.
ROUND 3
In Round Three, the six group winners from Round Two then join the remaining six teams that
received byes for Round One and Round Two.
The 12 teams will be drawn into three groups of four teams each.
All three group winners and three group runners-up advance to Round Four.
ROUND 4
The three group winners and three group runners-up from Round Three will contest Round Four.
The six teams will constitute a group of six teams.
The top three teams qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cupā¢.
The fourth-placed team advances to the intercontinental play-off.
AND FINALLY , THE EASIEST ONE OF THE LOT
SOUTH AMERICA
All ten PMAs will contest Round One
All ten teams will be placed in one group.
The top five teams qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cupā¢.
The sixth-placed team advances to the intercontinental play-off.
