I had changed the font to Verdana as you suggested. It has been there for the last few versions.
This is what I wanted to say but... :o
I had not changed to it on the large one. The small one had it since you suggested it. :)
It is now on both versions.

Changed the title font to another handwriting script. I want to keep it in this style so if this font or the previous one does not work for you, then as I have said befor, no problem trying something, but a suggestion of what font you would like to see is always helpful.

One additional problem with both the title and the legend... the texture looks like a coarse paper or canvas, but you've given it a bevel that makes it look thicker than paper or canvas... I'd personally suggest removing that bevel and give it a more torn edge.

It is not paper, but white washed wall. I dirtied it up a bit as my walls are very white as I had just painted them. Thought I would use it as the walls in the region are done the same way. Mud brick covered in Daub or cement and then painted in whitewash. Gave it the bevel to give it some depth. I might of gone over board with the dirtying.

Will remove the bevel for a test shot. Give me 5 minutes.

No it does not. Both versions have Verdana.

Test shot of legend without dirt and bevel. Only done to large version and not the title.

I have to agree with Sully on this one koontz1973, it looks very much like a sans font, and definitely not Verdana (as is the large)
Because it looks nothing like what my version of Verdana is.

Test shot of legend without dirt and bevel. Only done to large version and not the title.

I prefer the previous dirty version. It syncs with the map better and is less glary.

My mistake about the font. It was Baskerville old hat.

That should solve all font issues in the legend now.

How about the title font though.

Koontz1973. For me, much better, the large and small legend. It also fits the style of the rest of the map.

I prefer the previous title font, but see what others have to say before you go changing it back again....they may like it. It is 'of the period' font, but doesn't combine well with the aesthetics of the rest of the map.

Title is a bit more freestyle now. The arrow is clear but the shield is hard to regognise if you haven.t seen an overview. Maybe make the illustration smaller? I like the font.

Small map: second line in legend is still a serif font. iButho is missing after Chieftan with...

Why do you call the river warriors not just warriors as they are not only at the river?

Will look at the shield today and have a play around.

Thanks for spotting it. Fixed.

Because some are on the river and the others are in the dry river bed. Changing it to warriors as in a previous version caused some confusion over the normal territs, even with the icons. Warriors will stay in.

Thought I would have a play around with the title layout instead of just the shield. Added one of the British rifles on to the other side.

Does it work?

The rifle is nicely done but it gets a bit packed.

No decoration at the title would work for me. Or maybe a shield as background instead of the wall?

Might work better with the original font in a lighter colour. Between the wall and darkness of the rifle. I am going to keep the wall as it ties the two parts together.

I will play around some more today.

Still with the title. I am starting to like this but feel it now needs something to bring it all together and place it on the map. Any ideas welcome.

Could you perhaps desaturate the bushes a bit? They're a bit bright in comparison to the rest of the map.
