Ok, even though there are still some second round terminator games to finish, the players eliminated fully are all identified. So I went through and added all the terminator coefficients that I could. On the overall table, now, you will see finalized scores in red.

Update...

QUADS - R6 moving along, all 3 games active.

DOUBLES - R8 winding down and looks like we have the other finalist. R9 games have been sent to Team 1.

STANDARD - Tiebreak being discussed in last Middle East game; no movement otherwise.

ASSASSIN - Complete; Gilligan champ.

TERMINATOR - Only two spots to determine from Group 4W. R3 terminator games can hopefully be created and sent soon.

kemeryj is not renewing premium at this time so he is eliminated from the Terminator discipline. That works out rather well, since due to the earlier glitch, one of the groups was going to have 5 players. Now we are back to normal.

Don't think so, and don't think it matters... that's a terminator game I've sent. You did lose an opponent. quetzlecoatle has left the site. Terminator groups re-worked to compensate. We're slowly getting to where the 3rd round is appropriately structured.

Next big update will come at the conclusion of the Doubles discipline, which is in the final stage.

Update...

QUADS - About to start the final round. Games sent and invites for one team are out. Just waiting to conclude the Rail Africa map from the previous round.

DOUBLES - In the final round. Invites for the Championship Playoff are sent.

STANDARD - Waiting on one Middle East game. Tiebreaker being debated.

ASSASSIN - Complete; Gilligan champion.

TERMINATOR - Round two is waiting on two games in Group 4L. If either one of those concludes, we can send the final two invites for Round three. Round three itself is active for 5 of the 7 groups.

What's up with our quad games? None of the opposing team has shown up yet. :)

Edit: My reading skills are pretty poor apparently - thanks for the update, and we eagerly await our next victims, errr, opponents.

Update...

QUADS - Final round off and running.

DOUBLES - Championship playoff off and running.

STANDARD - No change.

ASSASSIN - Complete; Gilligan champion

TERMINATOR - Round 3 is about to be fully running with Groups 1W and 6L kicking off. Because of an advanced player leaving the site, friesuschrist is entered back into Group 6L so we don't have a 3-player group.

Been awhile, so want to give a full update...

QUADS - Down to the final two teams. Playoff necessary if losers' bracket champion wins that series.

DOUBLES - In the championship playoff. 1-1 in the series and the medal rests on the final game on Cairns Coastal.

STANDARD - Tiebreak agreed to in the final Middle East game. Once that's complete, we'll have 2 Soviet Union games with the winners joining keef12 in the Championship match.

ASSASSIN - Complete; Gilligan champ

TERMINATOR - Round 3 has moved at an amazing pace compared to the previous two rounds. 5 of 7 groups determined already.

Updating the update...

In the terminator discipline, danryan and tec805 will finish 1-2 in the Winners' Group from Round 3. So they skip ahead and wait in the Championship Group (Round 5).

The 8 remaining players (2 losers from that group plus 6 winners from the other groups) will again contest 4-player groups in Round 4. Only the two winners will advance to the Finals.

We know 7 of the 8 qualified players. Just waiting for Group 6L to finish.

Ok. And now the standard scores have been added to the overall table.

I haven't run all the numbers, but based on estimating, it appears that only ZionT, MTIceman81 and Deli can mathematically catch Gilligan.

Even for ZionT and MTIceman81, that might be tough. Because a 1.000 +0.50 from terminator would mean a perfect score, which neither has.

Deli has two disciplines to score from, which means a potential 1.00 bonus for two medals. So he's definitely in the hunt. Looks like a two horse race from here on out...

Update....

QUADS/DOUBLES/ASSASSIN - All complete; General Achievement Medals have been requested

STANDARD - Two Soviet Union Round 4 games active. Winners advance to Round 5.

TERMINATOR - One game remaining in Round 3 Group 6L. Then we can start Round 4 (two groups of four). Two Round 4 winners advance to Championship Round with danryan and tec805.

Ok, the final terminator game from Round 3 is finishing up and the second group for Round 4 is good to go. At this point, aside from the 11 active games we have going, there are going to be 6 or 7 more games left in the tournament as follows:

5 Terminator games in the final (Round 5) group.

1 or 2 Standard games in the final round (if keef12 wins the Indochina map, it's over; if he loses, there is a playoff on Greater China).

Let me know if anyone has questions.

Down to the final standard game, so results and standings are updated, including the overall table.

I don't think it's mathematically clinched yet, but someone would have to dominate the final two terminator rounds to make it close at the top. Things look good for Gilligan.

keef12 has won the Standard Discipline with an undefeated 4-0 record. Congrats. General Achievement Medal will follow.

Board is fully updated. It's just the terminator discipline left. Final few games in round 4, then the Championship Group.

Gilligan still holds a sizable lead, but it's not mathematically clinched, yet.

Okay, the final four participants for the championship group of terminator are now determined. So games are sent. Remember that two players (danryan & tec805) received byes past the fourth round, so the concept of "double-elimination" still--sort of--applied. Two players have lost one group and two players received a bye. Bottom line: the group winner here is terminator champion.

Can't update the final board yet because a couple games are still active. Will post here when I do.

With Zion and Iceman eliminated, it's mathematically impossible now?

It appears so, yes. I just want to wait to declare you champion until after the terminator discipline is finished.

1.500 is theoretically the highest amount anyone could add to their score (1.000 for terminator + 0.50 bonus), but that's practically impossible because no one was perfect in any terminator round so far; so you can't be overtaken.

How about you read the thread and all my updates to find out? Sorry, but there are few things more annoying than busting your ass to run an intricate tournament, keeping everything updated and on-time, and then having a participant (one who made the latter rounds) complain about the length and ask questions that are clearly answered already. You had a choice whether or not to play--even if you were signed up by a team member. If you wanted one of those simple 4-game tournaments that last a couple days, there are dozens of options every week. Sorry to inconvenience you with a complex tournament that lasts a few months.

With tec805 winning the Terminator discipline, the tournament is now complete. As expected, Gilligan is the champion of Initech XXV: Olympic Games! Winning a single discipline and a team discipline, Gilligan was by far the most consistent performer across this unique tournament that took into account 5 different types of foggy games. It was an impressive run.

With its mathematical formula and nearly 500 games (for only 64 players) this was quite the undertaking and will likely be awhile before I repeat anything like it (Initech L, maybe?). I hope everyone enjoyed the tournament, though. A list of the General Achievement Medals is below and in the first post. Again, congratulations to Gilligan and all the medal winners:

1. Quads Discipline Champion of Initech XXV: Olympic Games - danryan, Deli, Commander9 and ndrs

2. Doubles Discipline Champion of Initech XXV: Olympic Games - Gilligan and thekidstrumpet

3. Assassin Discipline Champion of Initech XXV: Olympic Games - Gilligan

4. Standard Discipline Champion of Initech XXV: Olympic Games - keef12

5. Terminator Discipline Champion of Initech XXV: Olympic Games - tec805
