I grew up in the 80's, and there was a cartoon in particular that as silly as it was, I loved as a kid. To celebrate the arrival of the Smurfs back in the mainstream, I decided to go with a Smurf tourney so people can have a Smurfin' good time.
Open to both premium and freemium. Freemium must commit at least one slot to tourney, and have completed 50 games.
If the tourney fills up before then, well then that is just Smurfy! If all 100 spots are filled then there will be a single game "Smurf-in" for the last 5 participants who sign up for the tourney, to bring the total to 96 to begin the tourney.
Since we have no maps of the homeland of the creator of the Smurfs, (Peyo) who is from Belgium, I have decided to use 3 maps that we do have, in close proximity to there.
Rules are simple. Single Elimination (Brackets will be determined based on number of players. 3 brackets of 32 if completely full) This may result in several Smurfication games to prepare a proper bracket. Random matchups using random.org, no seedings. Best 2 of 3 games played per round. 1 game played at a time Final Round: 2 of 3 games if 2 player. If 3 players, Round robin where best record wins.
