No, but on these forums, you will notice that all the posts that people actually read/notice/acknowledge/respect/give a shit about, are the ones made by the forum "regulars". The people who have actually spent time on these forums and have actually taken the time to get to know how this ship sails.

Bostonguitah, who has never posted on the forums, suddenly jumps in with his size whatevers, throwing around all kinds of lame bullshit, and to be honest, it's not making him any friends.

Try a more relaxed approach next time, by shuffling in, saying hi, and maybe offering to buy everyone a drink if they are past their pubescent years. Act like a douche, people will regard you as one.

I could really care less either way if opponents use good luck or not personally.

But since you mention a 'nod of respect' in your second paragraph, in reference to saying 'Good Game,' could someone no make the argument that saying 'Good Luck' is a similar nod of respect---or even better, an underhanded nod of respect, in the form of: "You'll need it."

Let me make my case a little more clear. From what most have posted in this forum topic, people say or want others to say gl as a canned greeting as a way of being polite and friendly and to follow the herd. REALLY? I'm frowned upon because I won't spew out a statement that makes no sense in a game of win/lose to people who don't care a lick about me. I thought this was CONQUERclub? Not footy pajama, give eachother a hug, and bake cookies club.

I've seen so many "polite" gl knobs turn vitrial when someone double teams, suicides, deadbeats, or knocks down their stacks for what they percieve to be no apparent reason. Even if that wasn't the case you feeling the need to be polite is ridiculous. You don't know me and I don't have a sign on my chest that says "love me tender". I didn't know the MR RODGERS police ran this forum. I hate to keep beating this dead horse but gl is tired, played, and like old yeller needs a bullet... BAD!

You can#t prove anything about anyone in regards to being "fake" on here. The problem here is how you are perceiving the "good luck" people. The problem, is with you, not them. I say "Good luck and have fun!" in my games usually, because I want people to enjoy themselves and getting very bad dice is not fun. I like a fair fight and would like to think my opponents wish the same for me. It's called Good Sportmanship.
