The SoC Training Academy and its Training Grounds provide basic training for new and old members looking to enhance their game strategy. "Train a Cook today, lose to a Sergeant tomorrow"
Although Terminator Escalating was our first training mode, our founders Wacicha and gloryordeath recognized the need to train students on other settings as well, and team training was born. Today, we have a team of elite team players with the hearts of teachers who take on small teams of students to train them to play team games.
In order for students to be trained in triples and quads they will need to graduate from doubles training first. Each student will be assigned a teacher who will guide them through the training process. The doubles program is a minimum of 3 games but there is no limit to the amount of doubles games the student may have to play in order to graduate. Graduation depends upon the teachers recommendation.
Please read the rules below, once you have read the rules, you may request to be a student in the SOC Team Training Academy. If you do request training, you are accepting the rules and agreeing to abide by them.
Rule 1 - This is training, it is meant to be fun. At no time, can you pick a fight with anyone else in the group. If you have a disagreement, begin with a cool and level headed approach of pm them. If that does not resolve the problem pm me and will work it out with the conflicting parties. This is to be a drama free and happy atmosphere and I plan to keep it that way
Rule 2 - Missed turns are unacceptable. From the beginning students should find turn buddies to help them take their turns on time. The buddy must be a fellow student or a teacher. If a student misses more then 3 turns in training they are kicked out of team training for 2 months. If they still want to try again they can make an application detailing what they will gain from the training and how they have learned from their mistakes.
Rule 3 - Students must post ideas on strategy, there cannot be any round in which they play where they do not give their best idea and then work out how it is good or bad and whether they can make a better move. The posting will be done in a classroom and thread specifically setup for your games. This is mandatory, if you do not post then you will be removed from team training. You can not learn if you are letting your teacher do all of the thinking for you. Teachers are there to guide you, not tell you what to do. Give a man a fish, feed a man for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for life.
Rule 4 - We would like you to write a short paragraph or application on who you are and why you are interested in being a part of the team training academy. Also, let us know if you're willing to use applications like MSN or Skype to discuss your move. Please send this application to macbone via Private Message.
Rule 5 -Students must be committed to this program as it is intensive and will be hard to pass. The point of this program is to teach team games not just give someone a general understanding. I can teach a man how to make fire with matchesā¦.once he runs out of matches then what will he do. Better to teach students in the way that will sustain their play.
I look forward to meeting you and helping students learn the ins and outs of team training. I will keep a log here of students who sign up.

I am just wondering if this is the thread where I write something about myself or if there is another thread? I just don't want to appear like I am repeating myself all over these forums? Lol.
Also if there is an edit button you might want to change the "upi" to "you." Lol. It had me thinking there for a while that it was an abbreviation for some other word??? It even brought memories of Universal Paramount Network. Lol. Is that still around by the way? Lol.
*cough* Every village needs an idiot, so I'd like to volunteer in the role for team training. I plan to achieve wealth, wenches and whiskey as a result (something tells me that plan may fall apart).

Cotton, this is to sign-up for SoC team training. We don't have hard and fast rules about minimum requirements to join team training, but we'd like our potential team training students to have a track record first. Play a few games, and once you've been here a bit, come on back and apply. =) Feel free to PM me with any questions you have about the SoC in particular or the site in general.
Friendly, I'll PM you, but basically, we assign three students at a time to each teacher. The pace is up to you, but we'd like you to be playing one game at a time with each student, acting as the coach in the game, starting at dous and eventually working up to quads. So, around three games at a time (usually something like 6 doubs, or 3 trips, or 2 quads, although if you and the student want more, that's entirely up to you guys).
