Bullsh*it!
Dug kept saying that he made the bribe so he would have the oppurtunity to play Blitz. However his plan (as stated in the PM's) was to take over the account of Blitz's partner and force Blitz to lose his games.
That is not 'advanced strategy' as some have claimed. It is deception and it is cheating.
The only thing people need to learn to deal with is the consequences they face because of their own actions.

Well, let's see maybe we could have a topic where people make a stab at interpreting these impenetrable rules at this site. Then there could be a lengthy discussion and perhaps a consensus would be reached.Sammy gags wrote:Obviously I have learned the game of RISK differently than most people. I disagree with with the no secret alliance rule, but it is clearly stated so I follow it. But how can you know what rules you are breaking when the rest of the rules are vague & based on opinion?
I'll start.
The no multiple accounts rule.
I think that means that you can sign up for one account, but then you have to stop signing up for additional accounts.
I'm not sure mind you, I'm just throwing that out there for discussion. Running it up the flagpole and see who salutes.
Wow, I'm on a roll here. this is fun!
I think it also means that you can't have a friend set up an account and give you access to the password so you can control multiple accounts in a single game.
Let's see what else?
Well, I think it also means that you can't bribe someone to give you the password for his account so that you can control multiple accounts.
No reason to stop now....
I think it also means you can't kidnap the first-born child of a player and keep him locked up in a box in your basement until the player gives you the password for his account so that you can control multiple accounts.
OK, I'm all out of ideas. Maybe we can bring Dug back on a temporary basis to help with this project? He seemed to have such original thoughts about these kind of things.
I guess we could just say don't cheat, but where's the fun in that. Also, it doesn't seem to be specific enough for some people. Common sense is an uncommon commodity.

Exactly. If you purchase a $250 membership to the gym and then go piss on all the equipment, you will be banned and you wont get a refund.thelewis wrote:if he hadnt of cheated he wouldnt be banned...not quite sure why that is very hard for people to get...

Its the funniest thing that dug has you convinced that he didn't know what he was doing was wrong..Sammy gags wrote:. But how can you know what rules you are breaking when the rest of the rules are vague & based on opinion?
thats why he made a threat about keeping his pms private.
he knew what he was doing was wrong.

OK, how about this:Sammy gags wrote:If you are bribing somebody, you do not do it so the other person will find out
All cheaters get banned.
Cheaters who didn't do it very well get banned too, but they get a book as a parting gift: "How to Cheat Better Next Time."
There now everyone's happy.

You bang on about this being a legal issue, and frankly I doubt it. There is clearly a clause in the rules page which I will quote for you to save you the trouble of finding it.what,me worry? wrote:The bottom line is that money was paid for a service to his account. As far as Im concerned, whether moral or not, those are his points to do what he wishes with.
.Rules Enforcement wrote:Conquer Club reserves the right to suspend accounts and cancel Premium Memberships, with or without warning, of those players who are deemed to have violated the rules.
The argument about the money belonging to dug, or RD is in fact incorrect, the money belongs to conquerclub, and under their rules the premium account was cancelled. You agree to this when you upgrade. If you don't like it can I politely suggest you play elsewhere, last time I was regularly active on the forums there was a thread in the Social Lounge regarding a similar game someone had created, see if he has different rules.
I quoted this purely for the laugh it gave me. This isn't about the legaliity of dumping points, it's about the rules of the site, and just to be clear, it is against the rules of the site.what,me worry? wrote:Im sick of seeing all the friends I have come to know on here leave. Thats my motivation for my posts on this subject. Last time I checked, dumping points isnt illegal( not moral and illegal are two diff. things)
There is. See above.what,me worry? wrote: last time I checked, if a service isnt rendered in full, then the remanding money must be refunded, as there is no clause to support the forfeit of his funds, even if they came from another player!
Actually, that's how it works. You seem to be mistaken as do a few others who posted recently that because they pay this site is somehow theirs. You know what, I bought a load of stuff from play.com and they still didn't let me have any shares, or even give me any admin passwords so I could change all their item descriptions to funny things.what,me worry? wrote: I used to love this site, but when people are kicked off just like that, it makes me wonder who will be next and for what. There are no boundaries or checks/balances, just the discretion of the mods.......
And again, if you read the rules, it's all in there. All about the mods speaking on behalf of lackattack. Tell you what, I'll do that nice copy and paste thing again for you.
And finally, my own personal opinion. This used to be the best site on the internet. My own son and some of his schoolmates even joined for a short while, although in the main they play the boardgame much more. The Guidelines wrote:A warning from any mod is the same as a warning from Lackattack himself, asking mommy because daddy said no wont work here. If you chose to disobey a direct request from a mod, expect to be put on a 24 hour freeze from the forum. Further action against the warning will result in longer time-outs, and eventually permanant banning (banding as some would say) from the forum. A mod will always warn you of the consequences if there will be any.
I met some good friends on here, and there were some people I didn't like. Those I was friends with I am still in touch with them outside this site. Those I didn't like, I'm sure they didn't like me either, we simply kept out of each others way.
Then dug came back, and lots of other trolls. And frankly I have played hardly any games, and certainly not been on the forum, cos it sucks. hard. for me conquer club without the club just isn't the same. If you really must bleat about someone elses problem, someone who does know where the contact us button is, please please go somewhere else and do it, and let me enjoy the site again.
Positive: Great guy, will always play to his best. Honourable and fun to play with as well. You know you're in for a rough time playing mrdexter

I have no benefit whatsoever by taking his side. Its a matter of principal. He earned his points fair, his account is credited for another year and a half, and people get to talk sh*t all day long about him while he cant defend himself. Great system. Stick that in your hash pipe and smoke it.
The only two Mods that I give credit to are Andy and FP. I used to love this site, but when people are kicked off just like that, it makes me wonder who will be next and for what. There are no boundaries or checks/balances, just the discretion of the mods.......
If you don't like it, watch out for the door hitting you on your backside on the way out. I seem to remember having to read a statement on rules and stuff when I signed up that said something to the effect that if you are caught cheating etc. that you will be banned and I've never known a place to give money back courtesy of you misbehaving.
