Details:
Welcome to the Ricco Cup, an international tournament consisting of the best TPA players. The Ricco Cup will have two teams, USA vs World. This is a private tournament, players must be invited to join the tournament.
Teams:
There are two teams USA and World:
The USA team will consist of the top twelve USA players on the TPA scoreboard.
The World team will consist of the top twelve Non-USA players on the TPA scoreboard.
The Settings:
Each player will pick a map and settings for a Quad, Double, and Single game. Each setting will be used in the match ups. Quad settings will be used once, doubles settings used twice, and single settings used four times.
Game Play:
The teams will separate up into three quad teams, then six double teams, then finally go single.
- First Match Play ā Quad
One USA teams will face a World team in one quad set, so there will be a total of three quad sets. A quad set will consist of eight games. All of the eight games will use the map and setting chosen by one of the players in the set.
Second Match Play - Double
One USA teams will face a World team in one double set, so there will be a total of six double sets. A double set will consist of eight games. Map and settings of the players in the set will be used twice.
Third Match Play - Single
One USA player will face a World player in one single set, so there will be a total of twelve single sets. A single set will consist of eight games. The maps and settings will rotate back and forth between the two players choices.
Scoring
The winning team or player in each set will score one point for there team. Regardless of the amount of games won, a team or player can score a maximum of 1 point. If the teams or players are tied at the end of a set will each be awarded a half point (1/2) for their team.
Champions
The team with the most points at the end of all three match plays will win the āRicco Cupā. Ties will be broken by one Quad Set, if still tied, one double set, if tied one single set, if still tied, the order will continue until the tie is broken. As a Grand Finale invitation only style tournament players on the winning team will receive a GA medal but will NOT receive a tournament medal.[/quote]
