Rat Race (Track Style Map)

This is a very basic draft of a track style map. The winning condition would be the finish line, with a starting position at each of the blue numbers. There would be an increasing number of nuetrals as as the track gets closer to the finish line.
I would need some help with the graphics (as you can see).

There's almost no strategy involved in this... I'm having difficulty seeing this as a feasible map concept.

and for the colorblind person in mind, there is no way to tell what lines are not black. when i zoom in the screen to like 400 percent i can make out they are different, but other than that,....well they're just all black lines. i guess i could see some what of a method of gameplay with different attack lanes, but you also have no bonuses. so as it stands now, everyone would be working off of a +3 starting bonus. killing neutrals. the luckiest player wins. kind of boring. i guess on a 8 player game where everyone just stacks, and stacks waiting for everyone to kill the other person off, it would be feasible.

maybe if you put something interesting inside and also your theme is kind of blah,

you could call it armadillo race instead, a little more catchy and interesting. maybe put like some armadillo holes that act like underground tunnels with higher neutrals or autodeploys..... - you're going to need some bonuses to go with them territories i'm sure. i know you are trying to make a simple map, but there is already one of those. it's called circus maximus. and no offense to people who like it, but i find it very uninteresting. it's just like playing ring around the rosey forever.

i don't know, i'm just spewing out ideas here,

also, if you're new to the foundry here, ( which i am ) i'll give you a piece of advice. you'll not likely find someone that will make your map for you. as I've become aware it's a lot of work, and people who are making maps, are already making one and probably don't want to take yours on as well. so, if you really want to make this happen, you're probably best to jump right in there and get on it yourself. it also attracts more feedback when you come with a serious attempt, and people are more willing to help you when they see you are helping yourself. there are tutorials in the foundry forums, also i have gotten alot of good stuff off of youtube. mainly through "gimptricks" it's really good at showing you how to use gimp. which is free by the way, and pretty dang nifty if you ask me. when i first started using it, basically, i could not. it's very intimidating. there are so many tools and methods. i probably only understand 1% of them at this time, and it's more than i could have ever imagined knowing. and just the little i do know turns the "paint" program on your computer into a box of crayons.

but if you keep at it, it all starts coming together, the more you learn about it, the easier it is to learn.

so i'm sorry to hijack your thread here, but i just wanted to say that although your map is super bland and boring, i do see what you are going for, and that it could turn into something if you put some effort and excitement into it.

There's another map being called Rat Maze, FYI. I clicked on this thinking it was that one, as I had actually suggested the other mapmaker change his creation's name to Rat Race. Just something to consider.
