I think it's interesting. I said "hmmm" when I read the suggestion. But, I'm a pessimist by nature, so in addition to the foregoing critiques from other users...

Understanding that high forum participation by as many users as possible is something we want (or at least I want), I tend to think some people would be put off posting in the forums because they would be concerned that they may receive a negative forum rating. Further, if someone received a lot of negative forum ratings (without doing so purposefully, which no doubt some would do), they may not post in the forums again.

So if one of our popular posters (me) was rated low enough due to vindictiveness you propose that the lowly rated posters posts get blocked? Terrible suggestion. It would block legitimate posts in the legitimate forums of C&A, Map Foundry, Clan and Tournaments. The posts/forums that matter..
This post was made by jefjef who should be on your ignore list.

As much as I am inclined to troll jefjef here, I will limit myself to saying that if the reputation system includes automatically-blocked posts, that setting should be turned off in Clans and Tournaments and the like. Of course, this would be in addition to the fact that you can still click to see "blocked" posts which are simply hidden by default.

People would just abuse this system like they abuse the rating system. I say "thumbs down".
