This is part of a series of tournaments tracing an alternative route through the list of French kings, from Clovis the first.
In the previous tournament we saw how Clodomir defeated his brothers to become sole ruler of the French dominions.
Now the year is 543 and king Clodomir is dead. Again the realm will be divided, amongst his three sons, Théodebald, Gunthar and Cloud.
In addition there are surviving sons of Clodomir's brothers who now are looking for an opportunity to gain power. These were: Théodebert, son of Thierry, Caribert and Childéric, sons of Clotaire.
This tourney will have three 1v1 brackets of 8 players, each representing one of Clodomir' sons. The games will be best of 3, played on France, France 1789 and Feudal War. The winners of each bracket will play 3-player, escalating spoils, finals.
When signing up, please specify which bracket you would like to join. You can also choose to support one of the rebel claimants. I will then place you randomly into one of the brackets.
If you don't specify I will place you in the Saint Cloud Théodebald bracket. The brackets can be extended to 16 players if there is enough interest.
