Um, I hate to point this out, but both options 1 and 3 are against changing the lines. Therefore, if the lines were changed, you would have everyone who voted for these options angry. Essentially, 1 and 3 are the same, so if at the end of the poll, their numbers combined are greater than the votes for option 2, Qwert wins and no changes need to be made.

However, lets just wait and see how the votes end up.

Afraid thats not the case, Lt. Valerian. If people can't tell the difference then why would they be angry if it were one way or the other?

In my opinion it needed a straight 'a' vs 'b' poll with the two examples.

Even this is absolutely ridiculous. The changes should have been made days ago. Andy's not gonna forge it as it is, he's said so, so all of this is just tub thumping anyway.

I'd make the bloody changes myself if Qwert would let me. I did the little example in about 20 seconds and over 20 people think it looks better than the original.

no option A is against changing them option B is for changing them and option C is a neutral dont care attitude that result sin nothing but as i see it hulmey does not seem to understand that we are not just having a go at qwert because he is qwert he has a reputation for not listening to anybody and being very childish and no it is not a dictatorship but the as it is nearly 60 people recognise the people and about 30 believe it is an issue worthy of changing i understand that this poll needs more time but as it stands th borders would have to be changed.

but as many have said this will not be quenches without the changes.

Sorry, I dont understand what you have said there.

Let me repeat once again:

Russian....Ukrainian

Lvov.........Lviv
Odessa.....Odesa
Kiev..........Kyiv
Ternopol....Ternopil

So pick a column, whichever you like. Either will work.

I know it, because I grew up in Lviv and Ternopil myself. And I know all three languages: Russian, Ukrainian and English.

I don't know Belorussian language, so I am not sure how to spell "Homel" properly in English.

PS. Lwow is a Polish spelling. Lemberg is a German spelling.

The reason there's any question about the poll is because qwert is trying to slant the results by assuming that a vote from someone who doesn't see a difference is a vote for no change. qwert is wrong to assume that. A vote for option 3 is a vote that DOES NOT CARE which of the two it is. So essentially, by voting 3, you take a pass on the vote. It's like everyone voting 3 abstains. Which means that it should come down to a straight up or down between A and B.

EDIT: Oh, and stop bullshitting about Guiscard trying to use a poll. He's actually giving qwert the benefit of the doubt by ignoring the attempted slant and assuming that the option is what it was meant to be. He's using the poll as it should be used.

they are stating that they cant see the difference between them.....

For example: i had 3 friends over and all three couldnt not tell the difference.

And everybody has a opinon.

For example: A person cant tell the difference between the left and right so he votes for opition 3.

Its very simple.

A vote for 3) is a vote for neither a or b, and therefore its a pointless option. Even if 100 people could not tell the difference and 5 people wanted B, B should still be implemented because then 105 people are happy not 100.

And for further reference, sometimes Wikipedia isn't the best option to get factual information from. I know a good 90% of the articles are, but there is always a chance that someone either: A--Doesn't know what they are talking about, B--Intentionally giving out bad info.

Also, I consider a vote for option 3 essentially a 'pass vote' as was pointed out before. So by the looks of it, people would like to see the borders smoothed out.

For Ukrainian siti it will be english-ukrainian translation, for rusian siti will be english-rusian, for belarusian siti english-belarusian translatio and for all will be in these way translation.
