Ok.. I am a bit confused here..
I am giving away 100.00 in cash prizes and yet.. no one has even responded to this thread. Is it possible that people do not see this as legit?
I am curious.. please shed some light on the subject peeps!
This is the real deal.. and from this, we will start to run weekly or monthly events for prizing of more then $100.00 and then will start a qualification process for a Team League. A real league.. not a league ran on a forum.. but a league in which your matches are reported, standings are automatically udpated.. your team will have a team page with your wins, losses and roster listed, so on.
Please give me some insight here... anything ..
Thanks!

hey. if only 1 person signs up.. they will get the entire $100.. This is the real deal kids.. I know the CC community is not used to having actual prizing and an actual bracket system to compliment an event.. but here it comes..

I signed up, but for some reason the site isn't loading for me anymore.
Also, I think we should delete this thread. I'll take it in cash, please =)

A couple of things for now, but there may be more to add later:
1) People wanting to sign up for the tournament must also post in this thread as that is a rule for running tournaments.
2) Freemiums can't play speed games, therefore they can't be in the tournament.
3) It's going to be really hard to play 3 speed games simultaneously within 45 minutes, especially for players who aren't used to playing multiple speed games at the same time.

Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
It seems that you are suggesting players set games up themselves - this could be highly problematic for the following reasons:Any player who has not accepted their map invites or has not setup their own map for the round by 10 minutes after the start of the round
- When running speed events previously some players have bizarrely struggled to send or read PMs. Sad, but true.
Many players dont turn-up despite their intentions
Invites are not possible with speed games
I also refer to Night Strike's points. Whilst you could make registering on the other web site a requirement (which I have just done and is a right hassle with a connection like mine), you also need to make sure players register here.
This link will give you some useful information and advice on running speed tournaments:

Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
ahh.. good point.. I should have paid attention to the settings I was putting out there.
OK.. I will adjust some of the settings for sure.. expect an update tomorrow.
One thing though.. how is it painful taking 3 minutes to register for a site?
The cool thing about this site is that its meant for online gaming.. so when your match is complete.. you will report the score.. and it will move you forward on the bracket.. no more posting on a forum who won which match.. although I will be doing news updates in this forum thread.
OK.. so yes.. first thing.. PEOPLE sign up here.. and register and join the bracket at the cyber sports network site.. and I will follow up with some adjustments for the settings tomorrow.
Sorry bout that.. I dont normally play speed games either.. but surely they need to up the ante and make it so you can 'invite' someone to a speed match.
Most likely.. it will be 2 rounds for the first night.. and you can play your 2 speed maps one after the other. I can not see that lasting much longer then 30 minutes a map.. so 1 hour per round.
hmmm

Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
Thank you guys.. its not about trying to get peeps to come to my site.. I already have thousands of users.. I just want to run CC tournaments properlly.. for too long..its all been through here.. which is solid..its just not solid enough. the best thing CC could do.. it just create a quick bracket system that admins could use. Also.. I want to give out real prizes.. so I am starting with 100.00..but plan to have a qualifying system to have an 8 person group play event.. worth 500.00 to winners!
So we need to start here.. so I may start smaller.. Ill have full details later today.
Thank you guys!

Something else to consider:
Plus, you may wish to PM some previous speed tournament players to advertise (politely). I have a list here you can use.
- What will happen, as inevitably will be the case, when some of the players don't turn-up?
Will the other player get a bye? perhaps? Something worth posting in your first thread.

Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
tried to open account and just filled all the details and it kept coming back incorrect gender
Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
I would like to sing up, but have some problems in trying it, the same like shaneback.
after filling all informations, it was written "Invalid selection for gender" so couldnt finish registration process.

Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
this looks cool but before i sign up i want to know if the gender thing has been fixed
Re: Play CC, Win Cash Cup #1 $100.00 in Prizes!!
OK Folks.. here is the update!
1. The 'Gender' bug has been fixed on the site and I see that several of you have signed up. If you were not able to before, please try again and we will start to see the bracket fill up.
2. The format for the event has changed based on some suggestions given here.
The event will not be a 16 person bracket. I will start small to make sure we have a correct format and structure to create additional events.
First (1) round matches will be generated by Sunday afternoon and players will have until Tuesday at noon (12 EST) to complete the bo3 series.
2nd round matches will then be generated on Tuesday afternoon and players will have until Thursday at 7 PM EST to complete the bo3 series.
3rd round matches will be generated on Thursday at 7 PM EST and you will have until Sunday afternoon to complete them.
The semis and finals will be the following Monday night, starting at 8 PM EST and will be SPEED maps (bo3 semis, bo5 finals and 3rd place)
Does this sound more doable. By the time we get the semis and finals, there should be no excuses for players not showing up. If you fail to join your matches and finish them, then your opponent is rewarded a Forfeit win. The only way we will get this to work is to stick to a structure and weed out those that do not show. The more flexible we are.. the more likely we are for the structure to break down and not be consistent.
I will update the site news with the changes, as well as the bracket and times of the matches.
I am now adding another $50 to the pot.
