Inactive acounts
I think if you havn't loged on in a year your account should be deleted. With some exceptions like NateWolfman don't we hope he'll come back after his tour is over
Re: Inactive acounts
what is the problem with not deleting them and how can we tell who will come back or not?Hank44Soccer wrote:I think if you havn't loged on in a year your account should be deleted. With some exceptions like NateWolfman don't we hope he'll come back after his tour is over

Pretty sure the people who haven't loged in since 06 are long gone, and if they wanna come back they can create new accounts. Just a way to try and inflate sites member numbers. I had to pick this stupid " ł " because some idiot hasn't loged in since then, played 1 game..24months and gone is my suggestion.

Permabanned players can technically come back via this suggestion. Wait the alloted time and Viola, they are back. And what happens with the posts? The game logs?Hannibał wrote:Pretty sure the people who haven't loged in since 06 are long gone, and if they wanna come back they can create new accounts. Well, we have a different number for the number of active people (people who have done something in the last 30 days), so I don't think it's about numbers. Normally it's just not good to delete things. Somehow, some way, it would probably come back and have a bad consequence.Hannibał wrote:Pretty sure the people who haven't loged in since 06 are long gone, and if they wanna come back they can create new accounts. The old accounts don't take up too much space I imagine, and if they ever do come back (they might), then they won't have to make an account.
Also, could you imagine how long it would take to go through and inactive all of those accounts? Forever. That's how long.

Re: Inactive acounts
This would be difficult to do, as everything is linked to your user id, if user accounts were deleted, those ID's would be disassociated with the site, games would break, old posts would break, and several other things.
Also, why would we delete their accounts? If we want them to come back, about the last thing we would want to do is make it a hassle for them to return.
BTW: Webmaster's code of conduct says never delete a users information from your database, you never know when it will be valuable.
Rejected.
