Wall Improvement!

Postby jricart on Fri Sep 10, 2010 4:47 pm

Concise description:
  • Update/Improve the Delete Wall Post

Specifics/Details:
  • Avoid the Confirm Question: "Are you sure you want to delete this wall comment?"
  • Avoid the Confirmation Message after deleting the post!

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • Right now there is no way to mass/batch delete post, and with this improvement, at least It will take us less time to do a clean up!

Thanks.

I would prefer to see the mass wall clear option that's in the submitted suggestions forum being implemented, to be honest.

When deleting something, asking for confirmation to avoid mistakes is a good thing.

Clear off multiple wall comments

Postby Gen.LeeGettinhed on Sun Nov 07, 2010 5:26 pm

[b]Concise description:
make it simpler to delete multiple Wall comments at once. SOOO hard , have to do 1 at a time, and it keeps coming back to most recent. . .jeez, I have 199 and it'l take forever. develop something similar to PM deletes. . .where you click and delete many (5?) at once

[b]Specifics/Details: make it easier to delete Wall comments. multiple at once like PM's

[b]How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
can delete MORE at once, not one at a time

This or clear all. Also one suggester in here offered that only friends could post to your wall...I like that.

The checkbox would be nice, but if there are multiple pages of spam it would be a pain, and so this problem would only be partially solved.

That's what I was thinking when I read through this. Also, there are only about 4-5 wall posts per page. If we could somehow have them exported to a list where we could select more of them to be deleted before having to actually click "Delete", that would be nice.

Wall on our profile

Postby babagonosh on Sun Apr 03, 2011 7:01 am

The wall on our profile where other people can write comments.

We can only delete 1 comment at a time, which just takes too long for us to do.

I empty my messages every now and then because it is easy......

Could it be made possible to delete several wall messages at the same time?

I am sure more people would delete their messages there if it was easier

There's a submitted suggestion to clear the whole wall (viewtopic.php?f=535&t=116709), and a relatively recent suggestion to have a checkbox system for deleting wall posts (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=63024). Please search or scroll through the forum before submitting suggestions, to see if someone has already posted your idea. Presumably the mods will merge this thread with the other.

But surely the time it would take in programming this would be minimal?

1 yr and 7 months since the suggestion started and this is not implemented yet?

It is possible at least to have an option to turn the confirmation off?

Thanks.

Wall whoring

Postby King_Herpes on Tue Jun 21, 2011 8:38 pm

[Delete Me]AAGGHHH!! That's why I came here!! Not to hit DELETE!![/Delete Me]

Concise description:
  • it must stop here and now!!

Specifics/Details:
  • I demand that 'the collective' have the ability to delete our entire wall, upon leisure with one re-confirmed click of the mouse. It is a generous feature and not to take away from that but isn't it getting a bit ridiculous?

I mean, it isn't my fault I neglected to realize this wasn't already implemented and my procrastination further now plagued me until the point to where I just don't have the motivation nor incentive to delete them page by page. By page.

While, it's even as personal as a private message and nobody seems to give a flying hoot n' nanny! I can go back to anyone's internet love lives and pry deep into their personal lives for up to 5 years? INVASIVE MUCH CC? Personal information mongers is what one might say you are!!

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • It will eliminate the drastic decline in 'the collectives' showing of selflessness. Also it will undoubtedly bring forth the possibilities for and a voter referendum for world peace.

I agree ...
think this was brought up before ...
still think it needs to be implemented
I have to waste so much time to clear mine
I prefer to have mine empty at the end of the day
