Re: points shown early
This can easily be determined. Just take their score and your score and do the formulaBoyWonder wrote:there should be that there are the points you will get from the players if you win, at the start of the game if there rank doesnt increase or decrease the points you will gain if victorious should be revealed.![]()

Re: points shown early
Points shown early so at your current rank compared to everyone elses you can see the amount of points you will win/lose if the ranks stay the same.
Re: points shown early
ranks don't enter into the scoring system (directly). The number of points you get is determined by the equation (loser's score/winner's score)*20. This is how we keep a "closed" points system.
what I thought you were suggesting when I read the OP, was that the points be determined at the beginning of the game instead of the end. Just in case that IS what you want, I will tell you it can't happen, because (no matter how unlikely) It would then be possible to, as a player could then end up with 0 or negative points if they were to, say, end up without internet for a week or more, and had a few hundred games started up, the current points system would cause the score to level out near 0, but if the points were predetermined, the points loss would be constant.

Re: points shown early
It would be nice to see this in the upper corner of the map on each game. The potential points earned would fluctuate over time. Also, in response to a previous poster, it would be difficult to mentally or manually determine the points in an 8 player game.

Re: points shown early
It's not closed - new players constantly add their rating as a source, and people with a rating of 1 can act as a source to the total rating score (although admittedly, a tiny source).Mr_Adams wrote:ranks don't enter into the scoring system (directly).
