I think we've waited long enough. Why delay any more?

Because clans such as ours have put the list up in our forums and asked our players to voice an opinion if they have one. This things not starting tomorrow anyway, so dont really feel the need to rush something when Chuck put a deadline up already.

He was more referring to the whole waiting process since this was due back in Dec to begin with.... I think. Not the given till next week.

Well judging from the list Chuck had of responses, the rankings would have been composed from about 8 clans... Just saying there's no reason to push a subject that's already being addressed. If anything, this extra time to give clans another chance to give their rankings will make them more accurate, and I know clans like AOD would not have been ready or participating at that time when the rankings were first collected.

again im havin an extremely hard time ranking the newer clans.. is there anyway there could be some kind of waiting period or maybe at least have them finish a couple of challenges before trying to rank these clans?

If in doubt mate have a look at the clans' members and let that be a guide if there's not enough to go on in terms of completed challenges/tournies.

For me this exercise is as much about perceived strength in the next encounter (and for which the seedings for Conq.Cup II are based) than it is about historical accomplishments.

Right, I see this particular ranking as one of potential vs accomplishment. Who do I think would win in a matchup between clans is the sole determinant of how I rank clans for this.

Well if you look at it at face-value, we've got a 7-2 record, with 1 defeat which was marginal at best against thota, and another a long time ago as to be immaterial, but to another top 8 clan. So if we go head-to-head in a sufficiently engaging match-up, you'll be hard pressed to find many people getting the better of us.

Unfortunately defeats are defeats, marginal or not. I say this with the experience of 2 recent ones (36-34 Nemesis and 31-29 ID). They still sting!

Yes, deadline is today, Wild Geese obviously were not on the list because they have never played anything. They will be on the next vote.

I suggest do not remove the ranking from july 2010, just add brand new one. in future, it will be interesting to follow history of power rankings, not only the last standings.

Good idea (though I have a sneaky suspicion Blitz will have already recorded all the details and we will soon be presented with a Top 10 Power Rankings list for the ages).
