Kiron......8169476
This is meant as a well-intentioned advisory. If you read gamechat for our recent Waterloo game, you will see this individual is
a liar and cheat, certainly not to be trusted. If you must play with this odious individual, I strongly advice avoiding any alliances or truces of any kind. I do not mind losing a fair fight in a fun game, but If I want to engage with a coward and liar, I will run for congress or work on Wall street.

"i don't let chances of victory slip away, if there is a chance i take it regardless of a truce" by KIRON
Re: The coward Kiron......8169476
stanislasdupre: I must say Kiron that this is the second I see you breaking a truce, (and we have had only three games together, one still running).
Re: The coward Kiron......8169476
If there isn't a complaint here then you put this in the wrong forum. I am moving this to GD.

how is this in the GD? it is either a complaint for C&A or a FLAME THREAD which is ILLEGAL in the GD...-the black jesusEvil Semp wrote:If there isn't a complaint here then you put this in the wrong forum. I am moving this to GD.

This thread does belong in GD! We should have a discussion in re of false truces, baiting and triple posting.
This post was made by jefjef who should be on your ignore list.

As coach Herm Edwards once said..."We play to win the game!"Evalaxis wrote:This is meant as a well-intentioned advisory. If you read gamechat for our recent Waterloo game, you will see this individual is

If you're not playing to win here, then go join Facebook and play Farmville or some other "social networking game".
And as owenshooter mentioned...
1) Why is this in the GD?
2) Why isn't it considered a flame thread?

It isn't unreasonable to expect to play in an honorable game, where people win or lose in a way that is a credit to Conquer Club.
Re: The coward Kiron......8169476
ever stopped to think about HOW he got to that score in such a low number of games?Evalaxis wrote:It isn't unreasonable to expect to play in an honorable game, where people win or lose in a way that is a credit to Conquer Club.
if you dont like those type of games play other settings,,

Re: The coward Kiron......8169476
Thanks ...Is there a liar/cheat setting I can use to filter?
Re: The coward Kiron......8169476
Ultimately, I placed this advisory so honorable players interested in a conquer based on skill can "Foe" this personage and avoid the time I with this unsavory individual.
Re: The coward Kiron......8169476
"Honorable" means many different things to many different people. You are attempting to impose your sense of "honor" on everyone else, and that is a failing proposition, indeed.Evalaxis wrote:It isn't unreasonable to expect to play in an honorable game, where people win or lose in a way that is a credit to Conquer Club.
I play your equivalent of "honorably" and yet, I see nothing dishonorable in Kiron's actions. He played to win the game. That's why we're all here.Evalaxis wrote:Ultimately, I placed this advisory so honorable players interested in a conquer based on skill can "Foe" this personage and avoid the time I with this unsavory individual.

Oh lord...Evalaxis wrote:Thanks ...Is there a liar/cheat setting I can use to filter?
Personally I would honour a truce, but I'm not naive enough to beleive everyone else will, nor foolish enough to expect it.
Before you slander someone by calling them a "cheat", you may want to read the rules. He hasn't broken them.
If you'd had a hint of humility perhaps one would be inclined to agree that you got a raw deal, but whining like a three year old and wrongfully screaming "cheat" isn't impressing anyone.

Re: Kiron......8169476
It seems you've discovered the foe feature, which is the only way to avoid playing him.Evalaxis wrote:Thanks ...Is there a liar/cheat setting I can use to filter?
It would appear that he lied, but he didn't cheat by any definition of the word. He just lied. You have given your warning and the game number as proof for players who wish to play this game with your same code of honor. Thanks for doing that. However, as you've made your point, leave this be now. I'll consider further posts calling Kiron a cheat to be flames, and the thread will be locked. You're not a new member, so you should know better.Evalaxis wrote:Ultimately, I placed this advisory so honorable players interested in a conquer based on skill can "Foe" this personage and avoid the time I with this unsavory individual.
I've also edited the title of the thread. If you feel he's a coward, there is a rating tag you can apply when the game ends, but keep it out of the forums.

I would but it's my time to clean out my sock drawer and scoop the litter box.
Re: Kiron......8169476
I'm sorry if you feel "cheated". However, this is a game, and as such, many have different definitions of what is considered "fun". My version is to win points, yours may be different. However, in a war scenario, fair fights don't win you the battle. Look at Agincourt for example, would the English win if they fought "fairly" with the French? I personally find the beauty of playing risk is politics and intrigue, if you can't accept that then you should not be playing flat-rate settings where that is what the games usually boils down to.
You also seem to forget, a loss for me is equivalent to a win in points, my starting chance of winning is only 1/8, I have to make up that with something...
P.S. Why is this post still here? Why is it not locked and the offender given a warning for flaming? There is a rating button that can be given if the victim feels wronged.
