GUNSHOT MAFIA SIGN-UPS [6/?]

You know the drill for when the mafia comes to town. You get some rope, you build a little platform, and then you stand around arguing over who gets to swing. It's so boring! And democracy-like!

WELL NO MORE.

The new way of dealing with suspected mafia is much more efficient! You just up and shoot them.

READ THESE RULES, BECAUSE THEY ARE NEW AND EXCITING!

1. There will be day and night! Day lasts until someone dies. Nights last until night actions are sent.

2. There will be townies! Townies have guns! At any time during the day, a townie can shoot another player by posting:SHOOT: Playername IN RED. That will immediately cause night to fall, and the scum will get a chance to kill. The townie must wait until the next day to reload. Reloading in the thread is not necessary. Shots must be bold and red to count. There is only one shot per day--so no shooting after someone has been shot.

3. There will be cops! Cops have no guns. They can't kill anybody. At night, they investigate to see whether someone is mafia.

4. There will be mafia! Mafia have no guns, only knives. They can stab people, but only by sneaking up on them at night.

5. There will be a godfather! The godfather was able to get a gun permit due to his expunged criminal record, and will not be found guilty by a cop. The godfather can shoot players in the thread, as if he were a townie. If the godfather dies, there is a chain of succession for a goon to inherit his gun, but not his investigation immunity.

6. There will be no "fake-shooting" in the thread by anyone who can't actually shoot! That is a modkillable offense!

7. There will be no lynches! All I'm keeping count of is whether someone gets shot or not!

8. There will be no no-lynches! You can't make the day go to night without someone dying!

9. There will be no talking outside the thread unless your role allows it! There will be no discussing the game with living or dead players!

10. There will be no editing your posts, no invisible text, no quoting of the Moderator's PMs!

11. There will be no talking by the shot person once the shot person is shot! The other players may continue to discuss until I post the night scene.

12. There will be a town victory when all the mafia are dead! There will be a mafia victory when all the town are dead!

13. There will be no posting in purple text by anyone but me, your moderator!

Wow, I would be soo very down for this if I wasn't about to go to sleep.
It a really great idea. Probably would be able to get enough people if we had a day or so notice. Anyhow, if you decide to delay it to another night I'm definitely in.
