Show only active tournaments in Game Finder

these sound ridiculos, because its not normal,that you need to search for some active tournament in thousand finished tournaments, tehnical sugestion to solve these problem and i need to open poll?
And even if TO, vote for that,majority of people can vote against that,because they maybe not interest on that.
Well i will put vote, but repeat again, its ridiculos to vote on tehnical sugestions, who will only improve these part of game finder.

Yes it is pain in the ass too search through the list
and tournament tab takes me to thread not the games.
Maybe add search games by TO not just players.

Regarding finished tournaments,
especially when I started my own picked on others
so I get the general idea or even recyle adapt
someone elses idea.
So I would like them to be at disposal.

These is sugestion for tournament search in game finder list- these will clear all these huge list of mixed finished and active games,so that you can find much faster active tournaments, and ofcourse if someon want to look finished,then he can activate button "all tournaments"

i like this suggestion a lot. it would make it easier to find the games set up for SOC students (they're somewhere in that list.......)
and when i start playing real tournaments it would be nice not to have to wade through a couple thousand finished tournaments to find the one that i'm looking for.

well now you have 3126 completed and 485 ongoing.
Few month and you will have 4000 tournament on list,these is all ready to much for scroll.
But unfortunatly any sugestion need to be waith for 2,5 years to be implemented(ofcourse if mods think that these worth to be implemented). Even now im notice that some sugestion are old over 3 years.

I was referring to tab when I said that those links don't go to games.

Hope this gets implemented soon.

I think a cleaner way would be to have the drop-down menu start with all of the tournaments that are currently ongoing (as you have already said).
Then have a line below stating something such as: "The above list contains tournaments which are currently active, if you would like to search for a tournament that has completed please <link>Click here to load all tournaments</link>."
The button could either:
-refresh the page with a url string option that would cause all tournaments to load.
OR
-use JavaScript to re-populate the <select> field with all of the tournaments.

Also, other than the final tweaks, I believe this suggestion is ready for a sticky.

the only problem i see with this is it only really affects tournament organisers so its priority might be low. 14 votes for is not much.

perhaps additional support could be obtained if this suggestion was discussed/raised in the CC newsletter's tournament section with a link to the poll

if you had the support of the tournament mods you might be able to rally more support by getting one or more of them voicing their opinion in the newsletter or a pm direct to everyone who has received privs recently

I just started making tournaments, but I have four that start with 'Angola' and I could see the how it would be annoying if I had 50 that started with 'Angola'.

I already do the quick search that NightStrike suggested - click on the list, type 'angola' and then I'm at the beginning of my tourneys, but it takes time to scroll and it would be annoying for the folks with tons of tourneys that start with the same thing.

Well i think that will be good that you have option to remove finished tournaments from Tournaments list in game finder, and you all ways can bring back by click on [add finished ].

Uh qwert, this option already exists.

Just look up to the top selections, you can choose only waiting games, only active games, only finished games or any combination of those.
