You haven't seen Trojans games in r/l have you? lol - Even when they're good there's like 5,000 empty seats lol. That's SoCal for ya.

Rutgers got off to quick start at Auburn, quickly quieting a rowdy crowd and representing Big East basketball. Although the Tigers got a quick spark off the bench in the second half, they were unable to overcome the large deficit, giving Rutgers an 83-64 victory. Still not happy with their record, especially at home, the Scarlet Knights look to get some confidence from this game, learning that getting off to a quick start has its benefits and focusing on their fast break game.

Lowly Dartmouth edged out #37 Illinois State in recent action in Hanover, New Hampshire.

"Obviously we're excited. It's nice to get a win in front of the home fans," commented Coach Thegreekdog.

Dartmouth is looking to improve on its poor showing from last year. The team remains largely intact from last season, but Coach Thegreekdog is hoping the experience from last season will help the team at home this year.

CCBC News report - The #11 Texas Longhorns rebound from this weeks earlier thrashing by #23 USC to take the in-state battle with the Miners of UTEP. The Horns were deadly early again from three point range to win 83-64. Coach Caz was quick to point out that the sold out crowd made plenty of noise to help them out. "I knew they were loud like a bunch of teenage girls at a Justin Beiber concert. Then the AD told me that Justin Beiber was performing after the game, so thousands of teenage girls were at the game warming up their screams. It disappoints me they were not here for us but noise is noise!"

Just a heads up that I will be continuing to send games out twice per week over the upcoming holidays (that will allow us to catch up to the real-time NCAA schedule)...but it is the holidays, so be understanding if players can't join up right away. Also, if you plan to be away from CC for an extended period send me a pm, so I don't accidentally count you as a deadbeat.

Merry Christmas to all and to all good 3-point shooting :)

Game 5, Central Michigan vs Clemson:

After going into overtime at home against Central Michigan, Clemson survives an early-season scare with a 81-79 victory.

Flex, how does the 7-game streak work? I won the first seven games you sent me, but this one didn't finish until after I'd lost the eighth one...

It's based on how they show up on the schedule...winning seven in a row on your schedule...so in this case Games 1-7 would get it done

What if it's games 1-6 plus an extra game from a beginning-of-season tournament?

yes...that would be 7 in a row...you take all your tournament games then move on to the Game 3 or Game 5 or wherever it picks up again

Standings are updated...and the new Top-40 has been released...Columbia (Culs De Sac) is our new No. 1 for the week. I've moved the team-by-team season link (also updated) to the top of the first post, so it's easier to find.

I've sent reminders to players who have yet to join any of their Game 8 maps, but will be patient over the holiday weeks as people are busier than normal and out of town, etc. Please, join games as you can, but if you fall behind just try to get back up to speed at the start of the New Year.

Game 9s going out Tuesday morning :)
