I know very little about football, even as an American, but it looks like it represents the game well. However, your legend needs some more explanations, such as how to the linemen interact. It's a good start for gameplay and but the graphic could use a little work.

I agree with Helix. How does everything connect? What do the different "territories" do? You need an explanation in the legend.

Hello all,
After one year break for dealing with private matters, I've decided to finnaly put some time into finishing the AF map. Actually, I made some changes to the old one, using the original idea, but basically making it function completly differently.

This is how it looks like:

Image

It is still in the process of finalizing the idea, but here is what I have so far:
-the map with all the teritories markes, with no name, legend, bonuses, etc.
-nothing is definite on this map, and all is still subject to change.
-the game is planned to start from the starting points, (different for offense and defense, that are positioned at the top of the map:
def: NT, LILB, FS i RCB.
off: QB, RB, C i RWR.

From the starting positions, the player attacks same position fields at the playing field, for which I am still in doubt of how many neutrals they should have. Suggestions are welcome.

The goal of the game is to capture all four TD fields or to destroy the enemy army. I am also considering changing to, for example, occupy three out of four TD's and be able to keep them for one turn. What are your thoughts on this?

The bonuses are obtained by winning the same colour fields. Following are my suggestions:
orange +6
blue +2
pink +4
violet +3
green +5
red +4
INT's white +4
FUM white +4.

It could be that this is not well balanced and I welcome all the suggestions. I am thinking that maybe DEF front 3 should be worth more as well as LB line.

I am looking for the ideas about what to do with the yelow and red flags. Since they are itended for faults they should be assigned negative points, but I am not sure how.

Perhaps it is a good idea that it is requested to keep both the filed and the flag that is attacking it in order to secure positive points for the field- if you win the filed but not the flag, the filed is authomatically reset to 3-5 neutrals.

Another idea for the flags is to they actually are neutrals and that every player, or maybe only captains can attack the flag and then all of the players of the enemy team: offense- defense and vice versa. Both ideas for the purpose of the flags are open to your suggestions and comments.
I have apsolutely no idea for the red flag. The most logical solution is that from the red flag the HC can attack the referees, but I can't figure out how.

Referees (black and white circles) are also neutrals. They have the capability of bombing and it is not possible to pass from referee to another field. My idea is to allow only captains to attack a referee, and when, for example, a defense captain occupies a referee, he can bomb all the players of the offense team.

I am also considering to assign two of each at the beginning of the game, HC's, DC's, OC's, and STC's... of course, this would need additional thinking.

The arrows on fileds show attack directions: one way or two way attacks.
If the white arrows are not marked the attack is not possible. Blue and yellow arrows show the direction of the ball.

Letters at the bottom of each field mark the name of the field, so:
NT:J3,
RB:O1,
FS:F2, etc…

I hope to get many suggestions, comments, ideas....I appreciate your help. Thanks!

Wow! That's quite a bit you have going on there! I'm not much of an American football fan, but I'll still see if I can't analyze the gameplay you've created. Just know it may be awhile!

Hi mr green

I dont know anything about AM-football, the rules or the how its played, I know soccer (what we call football, am-fooball use the hands most of the time, strange :-k ) is not a very big sport in the US, its the same for AM-football in europe, AM-football are not the first sport the media writes or broadcast on tv, let me say almost never, when looking at your map I get very confused and your description of gameplay dont makes it better, I do how ever like your style, your choice of colours and grafic skill.

Iam mostly in to games with a simple game play/structure, also becourse then everybody on all stages can join and have fun out of it, ohters love hard and complicated gameplays, so that is realy a matter of taste, its your choice where you want to take it, I do think you need to explain the rules more, cut it out of cardboard and bend it in neon so even to most retardo (me :ugeek: ) understand it.

keep it up.
