So you claimed Si said "We will understand either way" and in the two posts you highlighted he (1) did not say that, (2) said the rule was Draconian (suggesting the punishment did not fit the crime) and (3) commended the war for being challenging and competitive. You, sir, are retarded+. I have a hunch you're the kid who watches Sportscenter in the morning and runs off little insights and glibs the commentators make to co-workers, but in actuality, you have no clue what the [deuce] is actually going on. Welcome to the party, you're four hours late and no, we didn't lose your invitation in the mail.

And am I crying the loss? [Heavens] no, because right now the tally is 21-20 TOFU.

So go eat a [muffin] Snow[friend].

Re: [CC 2010 Semis] TOFU vs KoRT [KILLED BY THE RULES!]

Postby Iron Maid on Fri Nov 12, 2010 7:14 pm

Dutch farmers got restrictions from the government only to breed 20 calves a year. Unfortunately cow Clara 4 gave birth to the 21st calf of Boer Harms called Clara 5. All 21 calves have been slaughtered by the government!

Congratulations KoRT with your victory! =D> =D> Rules are rules, but are humans human?

It's strange that it is allowed to have people taking turns for eachother when they are away, that people can chat in team games and that it even is possible to discuss turns on MSN with players who aren't in a game. But when a name shows up 21 times by mistake instead of the 20 times that are allowed, then a death penalty is given. Makes me feel sick.

We are all here to play this great game for fun and have some good competetive matches. But for me the fun has gone this way.

It's strange that it is allowed to have people taking turns for eachother when they are NOT away, with goal to have some tactics advantage. here is documentation who did it:
Game 7592386
2010-10-07 02:54:35 - karelpietertje ended the turn
from chat: 2010-10-08 01:15:08 - Iron Maid: Clock running down. CoF for IM

while in other game Iron Maid played turns by himself at the same time, not by sitter:
Game 7755595
2010-10-07 20:16:11 - Iron Maid ended the turn
2010-10-08 02:35:55 - Iron Maid ended the turn

so, 6.30 hours before poker turn expired, Iron Maid played a turn in south america game, and also, he played new turn in the same game 20 minutes before poker turn was to expire without any sitter notification in chat, so obviously Iron Maid was not away as played his own turns in south america game.
I may just add that turn in poker was the most important one in the game, as 2 players killed then.
so, it is big deal to sit for one who is away (me for moonchild), while it is normal that CoF sits for the player who is NOT away (Iron Maid), isnt it?

Man, I don't know where to start!

-TOFU will only be stronger. Those guys love Si. We are playing them in the League right now and I thought we had a chance of winning by a few....now we would be lucky to tie. I think they are going to rally around him and be even more of a force. I would like to see him get some help in the form of a MoW or something (not an offer ;) ) but I think he is overworked within his clan.

-++The Legion++ has pretty much already signed up for CCup 2. I don't think chuuuuck will ever have a problem filling spots for this thing. The rules need some tweaking, which he would be the first to admit, but there was so much that goes into this thing, and who the hell would think that a player in this type of tournament (considering the caliber of the clans making it this far) would actually reach the 20 game mark in a single challenge? Anyway, chuuuuck has done a fine job and I know most of the clans will be back...probably even TOFU.

-The THOTA (is that redundant?) posts in this thread are hysterical. A little mean spirited for my tastes, but funnier than shit.

-KoRT should not be ashamed of anything. I think it was nice that they even put it to a vote within their clan.

-The eddie comment is also very funny.

I'm sure there is more, but I can't remember the last 10 pages of posts so....

I understand the difficulties of typing a response while you are giving COF a reach around (or even formulating an objective one as the case may be), but we will have to disagree on (1) even though we are tracking on (2) and (3). And while you may be excited that this is the most attention you have received since that unfortunate day in the high school locker room, your association with the subjects of discussion doesn't automatically elevate your asinine interpretations a quarter donkey dick higher than any outside observer. In fact, I would propose just the opposite, given you're balls deep.

And I wouldn't crack the Cristal for a one game lead 2/3rds into the match. ;)

Give my regards to mother, and tell her I still have her maiden name tattooed on my arm.

Love, Snow[friend]. :D

To paraphrase Scotty from the newest Star Trek movie: "I like this thread! It's exciting!"

And Foxy? I have tons of respect for you. But to tell us we should just shut up and take our meds seems a bit naive or overly-optimistic. In the Pit, things can get ugly. As we have seen. Nonetheless, it is what it is.

Good luck.

I'm willing to shut up and take my medz so long as Foxy posts some Noodz.

I'm fully willing to appreciate that Trap is exempt from this offer :)

Ah well, there's quite a difference between shutting up and taking your meds and calling everyone in KORT cowards, pussies, ball less, dishonorable, etc.

Though actually - I do believe there's at least as much (or maybe more!) vitriol being spewed in our direction from various members of other clans as from TOFU.

I appreciate the approximately 5% of posts (no, I didn't count) in this thread that aren't flames.

(Sorry, Incandenza - I am not very familiar with pop culture, so your references to Tony someone or other, Don Draper, etc. are beyond me. I certainly have the impression that your digs are intended to be cruel and malicious, but perhaps I'm wrong.)

Not malicious, nor cruel, probably pretty dickish, but more disappointed than anything else. You guys have worked hard for well over a year to establish yourselves as an elite clan, and I fear all that hard work and fine play has been negated by one decision. I don't think it's a secret that I've butted heads with a few cows, but certainly not you. I still consider you a friend, but nevertheless a friend who was party to a really bad mistake. Besides, it certainly can't be a shock to you that people outside of TOFU are reacting negatively to your clan's decision.

Oh, and Don Draper: savvy advertising guy, lead character in "Mad Men."
