Team Specific Medal

Concise description:
A new medal that you can earn by defeating x amount of opponents with same teammates

Specifics/Details:
In professional wrestling, much kudos are bestowed upon tag teams that repeatedly dominate the competition. I think the same glories should be bestowed on CC teams. I propose a new medal that you can earn by defeating x opponents with the exact same teammates.

i.e. Player A, Player B, Player C, and I are a quads team. So once we beat say, 100 unique opponents together, we would earn a bronze medal.
say I leave the team (never!), and colton24 joins it. The new team would have to beat 100 unique opponents to earn a bronze as that foursome.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
Its a unique way to honor the most successful doubles, triples, and quads teams on CC
It will also encourage long standing teams to form new alliances, so that they can earn medals with new teams

I'm sure you have good intentions, but this medal would be a disaster waiting to happen. We don't need to give people more incentive to farm, they manage to find that all by themselves...

I have Clan Medal suggestion , and these its best option for team medal, because clan member present one team, and play many games together.

No, it wouldn't. It would encourage long standing teams to never change teammates. Once they get bronze, they'd have to defeat a number of new unique opponents to get silver, and so forth; changing to colton wouldn't earn your team a new bronze, unless CC changes the entire 'medals' program.

Meanwhile, your quads team already has many tournament opportunities to earn wall trophies for being the best on a map or series of maps.

I agree with those who've said this idea encourages farming.

if i teamed with stahrgazer and defeated 20 people i'd get another medal
if i teamed with [insert name here] and defeated 20 people i'd get another medal

eventually i could get 20, 30, 40 medals but no one would know what team it was for unless each medal had the players names on it

i do think a medal should be given for defeating lots of opponents but isn't that what the clan competition is all about

forgive me, i wasn't clear in my OP. yes, the medal would have the teammates names on it. exactly.

If we do it for every new team you do this with... Well, I really doubt many medal hunters would go for the other medals, and would stick to just getting this medal with a new team. People could be at 500+ medals quite easily. Heck, i'm sure if this was implemented, people's inbox's would be spammed with "You have been rewarded a new medal", as the system would calculate how many times you've won with each and every partner.

To me, this would make medals pointless...

something with the names of the team members and how many unique defeats



we have something like that for cricket and the highest batting partnerships

a batsman like Donald Bradman appears several times for pairing up with different players
it is also done for different grounds, ie. maps

Exactly. I just didn't like the idea of people getting easy bronze medals for just getting 20 unique defeats with a different doubles parter. But if you were bring out this medal, it would still go with the same concept as the other medals we have.

For instance:
Me and jrh_cardinal have beat 700 unique opponents together. We have the gold medal, and me and his names are put next to it. Then, all the sudden, me and jrh have a fight and never play together again. So then me and TFO are partners, and we get 701 unique defeats together. the medal would change to represent me and TFO's name, and take away jrh's.
