A new subforum within the cheating and abuse forum that would specifically be for people complaining about something they find offensive, and the people who can't resist arguing over the same.
Specifics/Details:
Be it a username, avatar, signature or what have you, all complaints that employ the term 'offensive' or any synonymous word or phrase would be directed to this subforum, where they could be promptly ignored by the rest of the community.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
It would free up the C&A mods to perform their actual duties i.e. rooting out cheating and abuse.
It would reduce the clutter currently found in the C&A forum perpetrated by people who don't realize they can foe someone and remove the offensive material from their sight forever.
If this subforum is correctly percieved to be a toilet bowl for frivolous complaints it would hopefully discourage others from posting such nonsense.

I think the forum is called The E-Ticket System. There are so many issues brought up in C&A that are absolutely ludacris. That we cant figure out the smallest problems on our own is pretty sad to be honest. Sending a simple PM to that person even, saying "Hey that _________ you have could be considered offensive, as it is to me. Would you mind changing it?" If they dont, you can file an e-ticket and if it gets changed or not, so be it. Its Lack's and the admins responsibility to monitor the site and determine what's appropriate and what isnt. As someone else worded, I think the "Hall Monitor Mentality" is spreading way too rapidly and people need to spend more time worrying about themselves.

I support the sub-forum idea... but I don't believe that all complaints about offensive material should be considered "frivolous". I do agree it would reduce clutter and enable the mods to tackle things that are more important until they have time to review offensive things, which, while not all are frivolous, are not as important as eliminating cheating and other abuses.

While I agree, I have to say that the mods brought it upon themselves with the warnings/bannings/etc they started making after the deletion of the Flame Wars forum. It's the fault of the care bear mentality that was instituted around here that the users have now taken it to a frivolous level.
I, in fact, have reported (though, not publicly) every single person who called another a "retard" after one of my clan mates was given a ban for doing so. It's only fair that the mods remain consistent if they aren't going to retroactively apologize for jumping the gun earlier and take away "levels" in the escalating punishment system... right?
An extra subforum is not necessary, C&A works just fine as it is.
If you have a problem with the way a member of Team CC behaves, beit ingame, on the forums, or in live chat. Submit an eTicket addressing the issue, be sure to provide examples and links to where they have done this (this should have happened more than once or twice).
As far as discussion about the mentality of the forum, or how users use it, feel free to start a new thread in General Discussion, but make sure to keep it clean.
So...any new discussion here? I still think it would be a good idea. It's not taxing on resources to create a new sub-forum is it? It would create another volunteer position for Team CC and reduce or at least quarantine the flaming/baiting/trolling associated with these type of complaints. It's the same rationale as why I'd love to see a separate "politics" sub-forum in the off-topics forum. As it is I never go there because it's just too depressing.

Personally, I find both of those ideas to be...lacking in usefulness. I agree that many of the "offensive" threads are a bit ridiculous, however to force a separate sub-forum for such issues is to relegate ALL of those types of posts as being illegitimate, and that would be a greater disservice. Regarding the separate "politics sub forum", just don't read the posts you don't like...it's really as simple as that.

Their mere existence is depressing to me...
not in an "I hate democracy" way but in an "arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics" way

No I got it perchorin, not only divert such traffic to a sub forum, but code it so the accuser auto foes the acussee, but only after they're forced to play a 1v1 on random map a lá pistols at dawn. the loser is auto-guested
And furthermore ...
[/end of daydream]
Seriously though, I'd be interested to know what the men in orange & green think of your suggestion, their opinions are those that matter here. ofc if they want it, they don't really need a discussion about it do they, just point and click

Spoken like someone who doesn't know and love a Special Olympian.

exactly...-the black jesus
p.s.-and if the moderation were fair or even SANE on a consistent level, most of the reports could be closed with a quick glance...
