Maybe I should stop going to gay bars…
In heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine, in heaven... Everything is fine... You got your things, and I've got mine.

Possibly. Rap music espiecally. Country music wasn't quite as bad, and pop music as never good except for the occasional person (such as Madonna or Cher). Even rock was on a decline, but it still had a decent reputation. That's mainly why I said 1995, but you could make a decent arguement for 1990.jay_a2j wrote:vgmmaster wrote:I say about 90% of the music created since 1995 (if not more) is pure crap.
I agree but might even go back to 1990.
Also, some of the old 80's bands were making music in the early 90's as well. And some are still making music (such as Iron Maiden).

Out of curiousity, what is the 2% that you think is actually worth listening too?hecter wrote:98% of the music in the 21st Century is crap.
To be honest, I think Metallica fits in that 2%, although their new music is quite awful. It is better then mostly everything else though that is currently being produced.

Odd, it's the same way over here as well. All the local bands are better then the current "professional" bands.hecter wrote:Your right, there is Mettalica, as well as other hard rock bands. But mostly, I like the local artists that I have here. A lot of them are really good.
One of my favorites in my area is Ill Angelic.
Their website is illangelic.com if you're interested.
However, half of the band members are different then a year ago when I saw them live. They're still good, just not as good in my opinion. They still have Jon Patton at lead vocals, and he's decent. Problem is, they lost their drummer (I forget his name), but he was awesome.

I never listened to PATD, but ever since Green Day hasn't been overplayed on the radio lately, I don't have a problem with them. Sure, they're not my taste of music, but they are better then other options out there at the moment.war_bloodline wrote:I hate Green Day
