I just re-read the thread. duday is being replaced...correct? If so, why don't we wait to see what the replacement has to say before we bandwagon lala. duday never really said anything, so maybe we can get some new info from the replacement?

What makes you think that a replacement for duday would have anything particularly useful to say about lalaland? Said person would have to go back and reread thread before they would have any idea what was going on. And after that pretty much all they could do is either A: agree with the case against him because that is what people appear to be doing, or B: disagree because they just don't see much evidence. The only plausible way that this replacement would be able to quickly make a significant impact on the lalaland issue would be for the two of them to have related roles and for the replacement to confirm lalaland's claim. Unless we see something pointing towards that, I don't see how waiting an indeterminate amount of time for the replacement of a person who never showed any real relation to lalaland through his few posts would actually help us on this issue...

While I agree there is no connection between duday and Lalaland, if Colton is able to get a replacement for him in a soon amount of time I think it'd be very useful for him to be allowed to post before we go on with the lynch. Different points of view on something are always good and he/she might find something that the rest of us have missed.

I think this post sounds scummy to me. It's very over simplified and that's the kinda thing that scum would want to do. Make it look like you only have two choices when there are others out there. I also would say we don't have to pick someone random but rather someone scummy and isn't it the job of town to lynch the scummy ones in case they're scum?

We've been picking at Cena as well. It's just that Lalaland is more scummy atm, or at least in my opinion.

If we assume there are 2 mafia (4 total) in each faction and we know 1 is already out (3 left)...

We are now suspicious of 3 players, cena, duday and lala.

Assuming we (town) are right in our suspicions, chance are each mafia will probably vote for the other mafia... again assuming those we are suspicious of are also suspicious of each other.

If we can determine which mafia is not down by 1 and vote for one of the 2 man scum teams, we can effectively wipe out the mob in one day.

Or did I just blow that by saying it?

You're wrongly assuming that the mafia factions know who the other mafia are. Truth is, they haven't got as much a clue as we do. And they'd be fools to kill who will be lynched next day anyway. This means we can't assume that this night many mafia will be dead. Chances are it's gonna be a bloody night for town.

You must understand that as a mafia you have 2 trails of suspicion.

There is the Public one. This is the trail that everyone will see, and the trail that will lead to your Day vote. The mafia will fool you with this trail, since if they would have to vote who they thought to be mafia, the trail would lead to their fellow Mafia, so he has to make sure the trail goes cold somewhere in the Town area.

The other trail is the trail of Role Guesses. The Mafia will want to know the roles of town members, and so they will try to find out who is the cop, who is the doc, who is the vig, etc. This trail will decide who is going to get killed by the Mafia.

In this game these trails will intertwine somewhat, since the Mafia will also try to lynch a rival Mafia during the day. Also, this makes Mafia a little more easy to play since their Lynching efforts might end up in a rival Mafia gang member getting killed during day. They will however be getting a problem during night, because it's very hard to find out who's mafia and who's a power role. They won't be bothered to lynch either though, so I think they will be killing whoever is most annoying towards their Mafia faction without becoming suspicious themselves.

Okay, so I see why I've been attracting suspicion: as I understand it, it's because of my flip flopping between lynch/no lynch.
Although I know that this isn't a real excuse, part of it is because different days I look at things differently, and genuinely forget which thread I've advocated for a no lynch in... that's one reason for some inconsistencies in that area.

The first time I brought up a nolynch was when conversation was stagnating, and I genuinely thought (still do think) that a no lynch could be beneficial for the town.

In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have called out edocsil on bringing up a nolynch after sens kicked the bucket, but the tone of the post simply struck me the wrong way, and I went with my gut, as I'm wont to do in Mafia games. At the time I had completely forgotten that edoc was a probably harmless voteless townie, as you can see if you look a few posts after that.

Anything else I need to address? And can we have a vote count?

This is not completely true. The mafia factions will now probably try to cripple Town before they take the lead by killing the other faction. It's what I'd do if I were mafia leastways. If they don't it might as well turn out 2 vs 10 which are not ratios mafia will be happy with with ONLY power roles in the Town.

Well, voteless townie is a somewhat odd role, but it does exist and I can see colton putting it in this game, just to be a dick to whomever receives it. I do agree that at some point, in some manner, we should look into if this is edocsil's true identity. However, at this point I feel that approaching a somewhat scummy player may prove to yield more valuable results to the town than trying to roundup the votes to lynch what is claimed to be a voteless townie. For this reason I prefer pursuing lalaland at this point.

I agree Spiesr, and I've been pushing for a lynch ever since Sensfan was killed, but we do need to end day 1 at some point. We're on page 17 and no-one knows anything... Thats why I decided I might linger 'round Edocsil a bit more, because a plain voteless VT is just the most useless role ever. To anyone.

Still that doesn't end day 1.

Don't know what colton means with no lunch, but it's together with Cena's vote, which was on no lynch.
