I cannot read the writing at the bottom of the map. I'm looking at this map for the first time, so sorry if this has been discussed already.
Re: The CUBE v59 - 14 day POLL ADDED. ((3D programmer anyone
no problem. it's only good if you are pointing out a potential problem. but let me ask you:
1) which map are you looking at? the one on the 1st page?
2) what screen size and resolution do you use?
3) do you have the opportunity to post a screen dump?

2)13in. 1280 by 800.
3) Yes.

ok, great. I see the problem. Small screen compression of the pixels.
I will try to make it more distinct.

Hey, I can do the XML for this when I've finished the Clandemonium one
Re: The CUBE v59 - 14 day POLL ADDED. ((3D programmer anyone
sorry I'm slacking. I just haven't got around to spend a full day on this, because that's what it takes.

And back then I heard people say that symmetrical maps don't work...
Great map, I find that a lighter shade of the background might look better.

I disagree, I think the dark background is a nice contrast.

I like it, you don't need a 3d artist, in my opinion.

Yeah I think it's as ready as it will ever be. I mean it's a cube. It looks like a cube. I think it should be called Battle cube though.

Battle Cube sounds cool. I think this thang needs to be promoted.

Re: The CUBE
This map is still here for two main reasons:
The first is that there's a doubt about the possible followers of this map, but the posts and the poll above, let me think that even if it is a small niche, its uniqueness could probably ensure a following. The same thoughts come out after talking with the blue team, i'm starting to think that this is the case "i love it or i hate it".....a wider audience could help to clarify this issue.
Second, but more important thing imo, is that the first post and the current stage of development is not clear.
I think that paulk is willing and eager to make changes / improvements using a true 3D modeling program. I'm still waiting for that attempt....
Currently i should consider this map more "stalled" than "under construction"....it reminds me one of the many working sites on Italian freeways, where everything is fenced off all time, there are signs everywhere but in reality there is nobody who is working.
Paulk, can you explain to me what's your current plan with this map? this is your final version and you've binned the real 3d idea?

I posted the render of the cube wireframe ages ago for paulk to use, haven't heard anything from him since...changes / improvements using a true 3D modeling program. I'm still waiting for that attempt....

Re: The CUBE
Why do you need a 3D modeling program when your current draft looks fine, paulk?

Personally i starting to hate this "seconded, thirded (etc etc) thing", it is really annoying after a while.....and not useful for the development of the map....

Re: The CUBE
The theme is very good, and I would love to see this map made. However, At the risk of rustling feathers, I think the graphics suck BIG time. (but what do I know ?).
I have a suspicion that paulk feels the same, as he has continually asked for help from someone with 3-D software. I personally do not think that he really needs anything other than photoshop, to get the job done.
