what?Obviously any gross abuse of the game is forbidden. This includes but is not limited to: throwing games or deliberately benefiting from thrown games, intentional deadbeating, holding players hostage, serial teammate killing, hijacking accounts, systematically "farming" new recruits.

Re: "Unwritten rules"
that would be if you have the game won, opponent is down to a couple regions, but you just stack up, refuse to finish off the game

Well, it also applies for when I hold a gun up to jrh's head, telling him not to do a certain move so I win.

Re: "Unwritten rules"
game? If they had said about the truce by the game chat is legal.... the rule is about doing truce(or any diplomatic discussion) by another site like pm's so only knows few people. So basically what is forbidden is SECRET diplomacy.... if is all visible to the players then EVERYTHING is validjcrulesfootball wrote:on another subject that falls into unwritten rules.

Re: "Unwritten rules"
seriously!!!can anyone confirm this ive always been taught by other members in games ive played that you cant have a truce when theres only 3 left in a game as its unfair and unsporting.
and this isnt even bringing secret diplomacy into it i mean truces even if there in the in game chat.
i need to know by alot of people to be sure as i will then take this into future games i play and i need this to refer to.

Re: "Unwritten rules"
Like he said you can make a truce as long as it's made known in the game chat to all players.

A truce with only 3 players left tends to be viewed as unfair and unsporting, but it is not against the rules. If you do not like the truce, leave the appropriate ratings and tags.jcrulesfootball wrote:seriously!!!can anyone confirm this ive always been taught by other members in games ive played that you cant have a truce when theres only 3 left in a game as its unfair and unsporting.

Re: "Unwritten rules"
Well, are you winning the game? If you are winning, but still tell them it's a big no-no to have a truce in a 3-player situation, I can understand where he's coming from. He probably wants to make it balanced again or perhaps even wants to use diplomacy to win the game himself! All is permitted (except for the points mentioned above), just be sure your diplomacy is stronger. I wouldn't refer to this thread, because unwritten rules don't exist in a war game. You do whatever you may to win the gamejcrulesfootball wrote:and he thinks im making it up to win the game!!lol!!

Re: "Unwritten rules"
As I said if is not secret diplomacy (means is written in game chat) then everything is valid, another question is if its ethical, if its poor sportmanship....jcrulesfootball wrote:and this isnt even bringing secret diplomacy into it i mean truces even if there in the in game chat.

Re: "Unwritten rules"
Basicly its a rule invented to curb some of the more unsavoury aspects and characters..
Do not hold players on 1 country over an extended period of time and over more games when you can easily take that one country out.
