Happy Hunting Everyone!!

BTW, my teams in the fog games will wait 12 hours before we take our first turn to allow the other team to look at the map. If we can't because of real life schedule, then we will take a snapshot of the game board and give it to the other side. Pm me to let me know that is alright with the team that chooses to play us.

are you sure that it is good? the other side will then receive your snapshot which is not the same like theirs. show them ALL your regions.

anyway, for my games I am always for 12 hour rule, but in 1st batch 12 hour rule will not be needed in any my game. feudal epic is the only foggy and there is waiting 12 hours pointless.

haha I just now thought of that... but yeah... that will not be happening. I am sure agonzos made a slip with that. :)

Yes, congrats on winning - Route 66 singles -- where the drop and dice attacking neutrals sway 90% of the games. Still not sure why we picked that one

Coz no other bugger put his hand up for singles, lol. Elf has a lot of experience on Route 66 and we just assumed KoRT, like most on this site, would loathe that map choice.

btw good folks at KoRT - what date are we working to for the 2nd batch of games? The Conqueror's Cup thread has started gathering dust and there's no mention made of it in the Schedule on p.1 of that thread.

That's a good question, assuming that we're trying to run the two semifinals as reasonably concurrently as possible... IIRC the standard thus far in the cup has been 3 week gaps between batches of sent games.

Good point Incan - it would make sense to correlate both semis so we're playing to the same agenda. I reckon three weeks is too long now that we're playing in three phases. We wouldn't be on target for an end-2010 finish which I believe was Chuck's objective.

How would this be:

Semi Batch 1 - 22nd Aug
Semi Batch 2 - 5th Sept
Semi Batch 3 - 19th Sept
Final Batch 1 - 17th Oct
Final Batch 2 - 31st Oct
Final Batch 3 - 14th Nov

That's two weeks between the batches, with a decent break between semis & final, and a last batch final date which should ensure the tourney's wrapped-up before Christmas hols. If a three week gap between batches was implemented then the last batch of the final wouldn't start until 12th Dec which is probably too late. The 3rd Place playoff could start a little earlier than the final (say the week of 10th Oct) so it finishes before the big one.

That's not a bad schedule, but my concern is that everything could get held up by a long-running no cards game (like "Fucking Benelux", and that was only dubs). Just throwing this out there, but all four clans might want to consider rejiggering their home slates so that round 2 has more quads and trips and no cards, and round 3 has more dubs and 1v1s and escalating. Get the potentially-long games started sooner rather than later.

I like this schedule. I definitely don't want games being started/sent/debated/bitched about over the holidays! Just speaking for myself here, not for KORT.

Chhhhhuuuuck - where are you? We need you to weigh in on it. :)

I judge this *close to* but not *actually* a legitimate inaugural challenge thread dice bitch comment. :)

(Let's not compete with the other cup challenge thread for turn/drop/dice whining. :P)

Also - congrats chip!!
