jrh_cardinal wrote:As I understand it, you are not "in the system" until you abandon tournament(s)that you are running. This makes it a much quicker process for Lx and the other TD's. When/if you do abandon tournament(s), Lx can go back and figure out how many tournaments you have run/rescued through the tournament database, and obviously see how many tournaments you are abandoning, then figure out your point total at that moment and issue the proper punishment.
So ya, you can be in negative numbers, but you're not really even counted until you abandon a tournament.

Another request: Please report any Inactive Tournaments you are in.
They are not that easy to track for us, so your help is appreciated.
Please report them by PM, to me: Lindax
Thanks,
Lx

Abandoned & Rescued Tournament Policy
Announced 08/18/10
Hereby I proudly present our new policy for Abandoned & Rescued Tournaments.
----
Disclaimer
Once a tournament has been registered inactive the Tournament Director (TD) in charge of Abandoned & Rescued Tournaments will contact the Tournament Organizer (TO). If the TO does not respond within a week the tournament will be registered as abandoned. If the TO has not been online for at least a week, the tournament will be registered as abandoned automatically. If the TO wishes to continue the tournament or find somebody to rescue the tournament he/she has to notify the TD. If the TO does not accomplish either within a week, or another time frame deemed appropriate by the TD, the tournament will be registered as abandoned. Once a tournament is registered as abandoned the original TO loses all rights to the tournament. After that the TD can decide to try find somebody to rescue the tournament or permanently register as abandoned without permission of the original TO.
----
Every abandoned tournament will result in a “fine” of 1 point.
The ladder system is as follows:
1 Point: Informal Warning and a slap on the wrist
2 Points: Official warning and a swift kick in the "tookus"
3 Points: 3 month ban from starting/hosting tournaments
4 Points: 6 month ban from starting/hosting tournaments
5 Points: 1 year ban from starting/hosting tournaments
Points will be offset as follows:
1 Point per 10 completed tournaments
1 Point per rescued and completed tournament
----
Notes:
1.- A first time offense will have a maximum ban of 3 months. The accumulated points will stand.
2.- If offsetting points result in a point balance of less than 1 point the TO will still get an informal warning and the abandoned tournament(s) will be registered.
3.- TOs coming back after a ban with more than 5 points can only organize 1 tournament at a time (and rescue 1 at a time) until they are below the 5 point level.
