Concise description:
Arrange maps in alphabetical order (currently theyre in a random half alphabetical order)
Put tick boxes in the "browse maps" section
Specifics/Details:
The map part of the game finder and start a game are really messy and hard to navigate. The site needs tick boxes in the browse maps section so you can select different maps without pressing control and scrolling in a vain hope of finding the map you are searching for. Next to the box it says to hold down ctrl to choose multiple maps, but this isnt really possible unless your willing to scroll, as when you type letters with ctrl only broswer features pop up.
Also when you select a map on gamefinder, the wrong minimap appears to the right
Also I dont know whether this is a problem with the site or an add on, but usually when you click to enlarge a map at the bottom it shows you how many territories you would expect to start with at the beginning, but with some maps i just get NaN.

But i don't understand what you mean with
Which map gives you this problem?

The NaN thing is an issue with your add-ons such as BOBgho wrote:Also I dont know whether this is a problem with the site or an add on, but usually when you click to enlarge a map at the bottom it shows you how many territories you would expect to start with at the beginning, but with some maps i just get NaN.

these need to be fixed, its very strange that Classic need to be in first place.

NaN is what you get when you divide 0 by 0.

the current order is classic first since it is the most populargho wrote:Concise description:

followed by number maps (in numerical order starting at 1 and proceeding higher)
once the numbers are gone the maps go in alphabetical order (a through z)
once those maps are done the beta maps are introduced in alphabetical order since some people avoid beta maps as the may have unbalanced play and xml issues and may encounter changes during the game it makes sense to separate them out

They are mostly in alphabetical order. The only ones that aren't are Classic (at the very top), Beta maps (which are in their own separate alphabetical listing at the bottom), and closed maps (same as Beta). Then random map at the very bottom.gho wrote:Arrange maps in alphabetical order (currently theyre in a random half alphabetical order)
I think it makes sense to separate Beta and closed maps from normal maps, and since Random isn't really a map, it also makes sense to put it at the very bottom. That just leaves Classic. I see no problem with where it is. Experienced CCers know where it is, so they aren't affected. Newcomers are used to the classic board if they've ever played a particular board game, so I think it is good that the first thing they see is something they like and are familiar with.
"browse maps" is a whole new web page, not the best spot. However, I would be in favor of bringing back tick boxes to the normal game finder page. I'm too new for this, but vets say there used to be tick boxes or something like it rather than the control + highlight thing. Anyone want to share why they took that away?gho wrote:Put tick boxes in the "browse maps" section
you don't have to hold down control the whole time. Just press down control before you click on each map. So say you want Classic and USA. Click Classic (you don't need ctrl yet), scroll down using whatever method you would like to USA (still no ctrl), then hit ctrl then click on USA. It worksgho wrote:Next to the box it says to hold down ctrl to choose multiple maps, but this isnt really possible unless your willing to scroll, as when you type letters with ctrl only broswer features pop up.
I tried a couple, agree with nobodies, which one(s)?gho wrote:the wrong minimap appears to the right
not sure about that...classic is first because of its familiarity and resemblance to a board game many CCers have played (that's also why it's the most popular)shocked439 wrote:the current order is classic first since it is the most popular

For your problem where the wrong mini-map comes up, check this thread, especially this post, this problem seems to have been addressed before.
Here is the answer to your problem.
Do you have the "Game Filter? Script installed? If so:

NaN is a floating point constant, and you can get it by dividing a floating point number with a value of 0 with another floating point number with a value of 0. It is used to to signify that the result cannot be expressed numerically.Darwins_Bane wrote:No. NaN is Not a Number.natty_dread wrote:NaN is what you get when you divide 0 by 0.
