Well much like some denominations of christianity are decent, some islamic schools of thought are not all that bad. If they agree with me in all regards but think there is some kind all-loving deity behind it I can't really dislike them.

Dude, of course I would say the same thing for almost every religion. I think those religions are bad. Christianity still sucks even though it has caved in to reason and logic out of self-preservation.

Which is the reason why these threads have gotten to tangents about "lol christianity sucks too". Christians recognize that the good objections to Islam are also good for Christianity so they try to find some objections that don't and fail. Of course there are differences but they both suck for being religions.

The funniest examples are when dutch speakers literally translate dutch proverbs into english, and when the translation is entirely correct except that the actual meaning is very different.

It's hilarious, the wiki doesn't do it justice. There are books written about it but sadly the hilarity gets lost when you're not actually dutch. But that time one guy adressed a group of businessmen expressing gratefulness by saying "I thank you from the bottom of my heart and also my wife's bottom" will make anyone laugh.
