A: It is for relentless players – you get just 14 hours to take your turn.
If you take any longer than that more than once in any individual match (or miss a turn just once), then you lose the match (if you do win then the winner will be the player with most troops remaining). Simple!
It is up to players to report infractions to the Tournament Organiser.
The idea is that we have a very fast tournament.
The Setting You are a secret agent for a Confederalist Coalition group, planning to take over the EU and sieze economic and political power.
Along with a number of other special agents you are charged to undertake a number of missions to assassinate politicians and key figures from independantist groups.
Burlesconi, the Italian PM, is rumoured to be undertaking a number of negotiations, through his aides, to create an independantist block and thereby undermime confedaeralism. It is believed Burlesconi is offering dubious trade deals to gain political power and create an economic basis to strengthen himself and his independantist allies.
Targets must be eliminated at all haste, before Burlesconi's deals and negotiations begin to undermime the EU ...
The tournament will involve an 'evolving storyline' format. Mission details will be sent to agents by secret message systems to avoid counter-espionnage.
This tournament is open to all players with a decent attendance record. Freemiums beware - there will be 2-games-at-a-time.
Initial Phase: Sixteen agents undertake four missions to eliminate Burlesconis's negotiators. All successful agents will remain in employment.
Each mission will involve a match of 4 players. Players will not play one another more than twice during this phase.
If an odd number of players qualify then the criteria below will be used (in relation to remaining players) to determine an additional qualifier.
If less then 8 players qualify then the criteria below (in relation to remaining players) will be used to determine qualifiers.
If more then 12 players qualify then the criteria below (in relation to all players) will be used to determine qualifiers.
Criteria Number of succesful missions. Number of rounds in which missions completed (inversely ranked). Number of troops surviving in missions completed. Number of rounds survived in incomplete missions (where not eliminated). Number of surviving troops in incomplete missions.
Phase II: Eight to twelve agents undertake four missions to eliminate Burlesconis's negotiators. All successful agents will remain in employment.
Each mission will involve half of the qualified agents. Players will not play one another more than three times during this phase.
If less then 4 players qualify then the criteria below (in relation to remaining players) will be used to determine qualifiers.
If more then 6 players qualify then the criteria below (in relation to all players) will be used to determine qualifiers.
Final Phase: Four to six successful agents players will undertake three highly crucial missions to assassinate key members of Burlesconi's team.
Each mission will involve all qualified agents.
Any candidate successful in two or more missions will achieve significant recognition with the movement.
Otherwise, the three successful candidates will undertake one final mission, with the winner achieving significant recognition with the movement.
Players must have a 97% attendance record, have played a minimum 25 matches, and not have dropped out from one of my tournaments previously!
Players will have 24 hours to join their matches from when the joining PM is sent. Failure to do so will result in a reserve being sought (harsh, I know).
Players will be informed when they have a match and will have 24 hours to join. If they fail to do so then they will be ejected from the tournament and a reserve will replace them.
Players must inform the tournament organiser if they have a regular partner or opponent that is also featuring in the tournament. The organizer can then ensure these players do not play together to avoid any potential claims of foul play by other players.
If reports of suspected foul play are made and the players in question have not declared that they are regular partners / opponents then they will be both be ejected from the tournament without question or the need for irrefutable evidence.
