I'll second this. I like the dog tags far better than any of the other suggestions since it maintains the military motif of the other rank insignia. I'd recommend adding two options to the poll: 1) The dog tags. 2) Keep the current icons in place.

I agree with Woodruff. The poll is useless if people aren't permitted to vote to keep the question mark. The question should not be, "If the new recruit icon is changed, what should it be changed to?" A far more meaningful question is, "What icon should be used for new recruits?" There is clearly a lot of opposition to changing it at all, and to fail to acknowledge that severely limits the strength of your suggestion.

Yes, that is what the suggestion is about, yet that does not encompass everything that the poll should entail. And if the poll does not allow for the option of leaving things as they are and in fact REQUIRES that a change be made, then the poll is irrelevant and, quite frankly, dishonest on the face of it.

Man i liked JJ's feather idea,

they are new recruits so they will be light weights (like a feather) unless they are multis, don't give them a icon that is too cool, because that is not fair to those that i stuck with that ugly diamond!

The dog tags would also be a very simple looking icon for the NR's... remember nothing too cool, they would only have them for a short amount of time anyways if they were thinking of playing on CC for a while.

I was referring to before she added Dog Tags. The top runner, only had 5 votes. And my guess is that many people voted twice, so of all the votes that took place, many were doubles.

It implies no such thing. I associate dogtags with the individual in the middle of battle since THAT'S WHEN THE MILITARY IS REQUIRED TO WEAR THEM.
