Dislike button especially for new nuclear medal

• allows players to voice their ongoing opinion about changes, allows for reversing some decisions

Additionally, the nuclear medal awards a medal for a spoil type that doesn't quite fit its name. Nuclear spoils is more like a nuclear accident and less like a nuclear strike. I had hoped consideration would have been given to suggestions to rename the spoils before a medal was created...obviously I was too late!

by not playing the setting inoder to get the medal ..... it's not worth getting rid of it's just another challenge. you get to chose to try and get it or not

Since you mentioned it, I'll state that I absolutely despise the Nuclear setting, as I have stated several times in the fora. However, I do also believe that "more options is better" as long as there is a reasonable number of folks who do like it, so I don't really see much point in removing it (or any other option).

I get it, and I play it. Its the fact that the spoils name doesn't really fit what the spoil does. I think a name change is in order...however...the medal was created so, now we're stuck with it.

Both of you are humorously off-topic. The point would be to create some kind of on-going rating system for implementations, maps, game settings. For example, if 1000 members didn't like Nuclear spoils, they could simply click on some kind of button that logs that player as disliking Nuclear Spoils. It might be helpful for admin and the new web developer to know who likes what features of the site without having to perform a poll or rely on interpersonal communication.

I know i don't have to play it...and I don't have to use the freestyle setting...and I don' thave to play on Midkemdil. But it would be useful for the admins and the new web developer to know which maps and settings are liked and which are disliked. Who knows? maybe if a map isn't played but once a month, it might be removed? maybe if a setting is played only for the medal it should be removed? Just saying.

I don't know...there are plenting of members going on and on about server resources, yadda yadda yadda. I think the game (to a new recruit) is a big confusing mess, so culling a few unused aspects of the site might be a good idea.

That comment was just in response to the members I quoted. It doesn't take up server resources to have a nuclear medal, but I am bothered by the misuse of the term nuclear to describe the "nuclear" spoils type. Now that there is a medal for it, the name is locked in...and I don't like that.

It is the randomness of the "nuclear attack." No one would accidentally nuke themselves while playing a game of chinese checkers or conquerman. However, a random disastrous event that occurs could take out your territories even in a game that doesn't represent earth via land, sea or air like the games you mentioned. The regular attacks still happen on all these maps and I have no problem with that concept. Call it Oil Spill, or Nuclear Waste even. but if you are taking the term nuclear by itself, it doesn't fit. I was hoping there would come a spoils type called Nuclear Strike where you could target your spoils attack. But since the general term "Nuclear Spoils" is already taking up the "Nuclear" genre....I guess we're stuck with it.
