as a side note, brown was part of Mr. Burns' original ringer team for the Springfield softball league, along with Cap Anson and Honus Wagner.

It's not strictly a sports question, but it's sports-related (and kinda funny):

List the 9 professional players, by position, recruited by Mr. Burns to be ringers on the nuclear plant's softball team on The Simpsons.

Extra credit if you can list the various misfortunes that prevented 8 of them from playing in the big game.
