Keep all maps active
I would like to suggest that we keep maps available so player can enjoy the maps year round. I really enjoy the St. Patricks Day Map and I am enjoying the 2010 World Cup Map. As a paying customer, I do not understand why these maps are only used for a limited time. If the demand is there the maps should be available. If the demand were to go away, then close it down, but as long as the demand is there you should keep these maps active. I think this is just good business.

I agree and disagree. I like playing St. Patrick's and I'm sure someone will come out with another holiday map that will be locked out. However, it is fun to look forward to play St. Patrick's once per year.HighlanderAttack wrote:I would like to suggest that we keep maps available so player can enjoy the maps year round. Re: Keep all maps active
I believe they don't keep them active is because these maps didn't go through the regular foundry process that the other maps went through. I tried looking for the thread in which they explained why they weren't kept year round, but can't seem to find it

I am sure there has been a thread about this before, but I just went with a new one. I still believe if the demand for a map is there, I don't see a good enough reason to inactivate it.

The majority of maps on Conquer Club will be available always. But every now and again, I think it is fine to have a limited edition map or two.
It is a nice diversity.

I think it's better that they keep some from being played year round.
They have PLENTY of fun maps to play on. I'm sure people can handle not playing on a few for a little bit, and that makes them all the more fun when the time to open them comes.

Just change the names of the teams and then make it available 4 years later...edwinissweet wrote:i dont want to see the world cup map go

That's the problem with the World Cup map. People like it and if it goes away it will be gone for four years.Joodoo wrote:Just change the names of the teams and then make it available 4 years later...edwinissweet wrote:i dont want to see the world cup map go

There is some talk that MrBenn may help create a similar map for regular use on CC. We'll see!phantomzero wrote:That's the problem with the World Cup map. Maybe MrBenn can revamp it as a tournament map and send it through the foundry? I enjoy it a lot too.phantomzero wrote:That's the problem with the World Cup map. Re: Keep all maps active
The diversity comes from having a bunch of different maps. Of course CC does a fantastic job with this. I just feel like if I want to play a game on world cup or on St. Patties I should have the ability to do so.AndyDufresne wrote:The majority of maps on Conquer Club will be available always. Well, that does take away the holiday feeling to it. I'm sure all of CC would hate it if Cutesy Club was here to stay

They said in the announcement that the official tournament winners will get to design a bracket-style map with MrBenn, so it'll come back in some form.jakewilliams wrote:Maybe MrBenn can revamp it as a tournament map and send it through the foundry?
