I'm just pointing out that peeps saying AoG may be "noobish" and therefore we forgive his statements doesn't make sense to me. I'm pretty sure all of us in this game have enough experience to know what "standard" and "non-standard" day 1 actions are. Nobody can play the noob card here.Mr. Squirrel wrote:I'm not sure if you're defending him or throwing him under the bus....safariguy5 wrote:I'd like to make a quick clarification ga7. Apologies to icedagger if he's an old hand, but since I started playing mafia, AoG has played in more games with me than icedagger has. In terms of "least amount of experience" in CC mafia anyways, I'd say icedagger is newcomer and not AoG. Which makes AoG's statement all the stranger because I believe he knows better.

Re: Platoon Mafia - Day 1
Day one was always going to be hard when scum have fake claims and we are all pretty experienced. All we really have are bandwagons for voting inactives and a kind of "hes a noob" "no he isnt" "well what was that" thing going with AoG. Considering scum have fake claims Im also really tempted to go for a no lynch and see what night can uncover

Re: Platoon Mafia - Day 1
The night will uncover the corpse of an ally most likely, This is a war and there is still plenty of work to do, like figure out why Lovo is AWOL despite maintaining steady activity and accusations.

I don't see how being a "n00b" has anything to do with what I said. It makes sense to me, and lynching someone makes sense too, but it seems more logical to me to no-lynch.

Hey all, sorry for the deadbeating but I had a death in the family and I was named as executor and have been dealing with a lot. I will get active again here soon, just have a few more loose ends to tie up first. Thanks!

No one interested in playing this then? Consider this an activity check and if there is not sufficient response consider the game abandoned.

That blows, I don't want this game to die, I'm the first to be busy err watching the WC, but still I'm sure everyone can post more...
Seeing as AoG apparently shouldn't be so noobish I suggest we end the day pronto to revive this
Unvote Vote AoG

vote spiesr Wagonhopper. He jumped on the Ga7 bandwagon back when it was building steam now he seems to be trying to do the same for the AoG band wagon, using little logic in both cases to justify his vote, if any.

I am sorry for your loss Tal.
) It looks to me like you are desperatly looking for a reason not to vote for AoG.
I think that Ga7's post (about AoG not being a noob) refers to his previous post in which he chalked of AoG's scummy I-would-like-to-vote-for-no-lynch post to AoG being newbie. Re: Platoon Mafia - Day 1
Ok there's definitely something fishy going on there. Lads and gents, I present you... The North Vietnamese Army! (possibly)
Back when Army slipped not once but twice, there's some posts that strike me as odd retrospectively:
Then as the game is dying I reluctantly give up on Lovo (Please replace him Nag, we have enough deadbeats as it is) :
But what strikes me the most odd is that many people found AoG's posts the scummiest that happened so far today. However, when it's time to throw the die both you and Mr Squirrel prefer to defend AoG by attacking his voter that was on a previous wagon. It's obvious AoG's wagon is justified at this point, so I'd chance you have a hidden interest in wanting to avoid his wagon reaching the final destination.
In summary, AoG is now tied to 2 other players and his lynch is looking more interesting than ever.

You could at least do a better job of explaining your reasons. As far as a no-lynch, in the games I've played no-lynching day 1 has only paid off once and that was actually in a situation where the cop was both good and lucky enough to find 3 straight scums w/o being killed (including me who was godfather but framed the same night.) That being said, this is a different game with a different set up, a different number of people and different rules and given what little we do know about this game, voting for a no-lynch with no threat of deadline would be a mistake.
Mr Squirrel, who at that point expresses no opinion on the AoG topic, instead expresses concern on AoG looking worst and worst. Why?Mr. Squirrel wrote:I'm not sure if you're defending him or throwing him under the bus....safariguy5 wrote:I'd like to make a quick clarification ga7. So since not only as many others you didn't post anything productive, you previously avoided posting your opinion about the AoG case and now it's just all "bad reasoning"? If you recall, Spiesr was indeed jumping on my wagon when I was actually back and kickin', but for the sake of getting the game to move on. Now is the same reasoning, which while not the most justified, is at least coherent with what he did so far.strike wolf wrote:vote spiesr Wagonhopper. Don't you think it'd be a bit obvious (therefore nobody except a complete idiot would do it) if someone was to OMGUS vote in the first freaking round?

Seriously Nag, it's time to start replacing all the inactives (with the obvious exception of Talapus). There are a bunch of good players interested in playing this game, Anarkistsdream for example.ga7 wrote: Then as the game is dying I reluctantly give up on Lovo (Please replace him Nag, we have enough deadbeats as it is) :

Re: Platoon Mafia - Day 1
That point of reasoning only leads to WIFOM type logic that is unlikely to get us anywhere useful. It is plausible for someone like Mr. Squirrel to try and defend a scum mate if he thinks he can get away with it...Army of GOD wrote:Don't you think it'd be a bit obvious (therefore nobody except a complete idiot would do it) if someone was to OMGUS vote in the first freaking round?

Re: Platoon Mafia - Day 1
Nag, I know you're busy, but a vote count would really help right now. I'm still on the fence about this AoG wagon. On one hand, I feel like the evidence is flimsy. On the other hand, day 1 lynches tend to happen on flimsy evidence and the alternative is probably worse. Claiming probably won't help as VC will have fakeclaims as well. Depending on how many votes everyone has, I'll make a decision.

Re: Platoon Mafia - Day 1
Actually, Nag has made it abundantly clear that claiming does help, just do well enough to know your enemy.
On that note, I'm extremely reluctant to let go of Lovo for running of to a communist-lover pro-Viet Cong rally in Australlia, and despite his latest post today being him freaking bragging about how much he's on here every day....
I want to at least hear a claim at this point in the day, so Unvote vote AOG

Re: Platoon Mafia - Day 1
Ive read the entire AoG debate and I agree with a lot of the scumtells on him. I dont think he is guaranteed to be scum (hence the reason why i said Ga7's reason wasnt solid) but up until spiesr posted I thought he was one of the shadiest among us.mandalorian2298 wrote: I think that Ga7's post (about AoG not being a noob) refers to his previous post in which he chalked of AoG's scummy I-would-like-to-vote-for-no-lynch post to AoG being newbie. I voted spiesr based on the way he worded his vote. It just disliked the wording:
He is placing the vote while adding nothing to discussion or even saying if he finds AoG scummy or not. He says he is placing the vote because he wants to keep the game going. He has yet to contribute at all to the discussion about AoG. He just places the vote and leaves it at that. Had he at least stated his opinions on the matter at hand I would probably find him a lot less scummy than i do.spiesr wrote:At this point in order to try to keep the game going I am willing to try and off the goof. If my intention was to protect AoG (which would be suicide imo) I would have attacked Ga7, the major force behind the small bandwagon currently on AoG.

I'll post something substantial tomorrow once I've had time to reread but a vote count would indeed be nice
Re: Platoon Mafia - Day 1
Once again, the argument "if I was scum I wouldn't being doing this, I would do this instead" isn't going to get anyone anywhere. For example: Perhaps going after the first person to hit on AoG might be to obvious, while attacking some of the follow ups with weaker rationals might be a better way to dissuade further votes without attracting extremely obvious attention.Mr. Squirrel wrote:If my intention was to protect AoG (which would be suicide imo) I would have attacked Ga7, the major force behind the small bandwagon currently on AoG.
